About
Chippewa Golf Club in Doylestown sits just a few minutes south of Akron. It's one of the area's most popular public courses. Opened in 1962, the golf course has a traditional layout that sprawls across rolling hills. The undulating landscape provides a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Accuracy is key since mature trees frame most of the holes and the massive, contoured greens also present a challenge. If you can keep it in the fairway, there are some great birdie opportunities on the par 5s. Overall, Chippewa Golf Club is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy with the exception of the treacherous 14th, 15th, and 16th holes. This trio, nicknamed the "Bermuda Triangle," will test the putting skills of even the best golfers.

Country Club conditions on a public course! Beautiful track!! Greens are fun! The only thing that could use improvement are some of the tee boxes. Love the course!! What a gem!!
Great value
I love playing here. The course is challenging but very well kept. The staff is friendly and keep a good pace of play. 10/10 would recommend!
Awesome course, best carts around
Nicest carts I’ve ever played with. Gps was awesome seats were amazing. Course was easy on front. Very hard on back 9! Poison ivy on the long grass wasn’t cool. Will definitely come back

I'd give it 5 stars across the board except I have been at many exceptional golf resorts . Therefore, Chippewa rates 4 stars... 5 stars for the Akron Canton area.
Chippewas is my favorite public course! Not only do I recommend this course to friends, I took three with me!
Chippewa GC was fun
Seemed to be a very nice course and the new carts were most comfortable I’ve ever seen. Like a Barcoloungee.
Slow play but other than that really enjoyed it.

Chippewa Golf Course is in excellent condition from tee to fairway to green. A very nice day for golf.

This is an excellent value for a very very well -designed golf course..
This course enjoys excellent drainage and beautiful country views through the hills.
Recent improvements have beautified the course by tidying up the landscaping. Other improvements include the outdoor areas by the small club house.
The course was in great condition. The greens are a little slow. They were a little bit irregular. People need to fix their divots on the greens. They need to learn to properly fix them. I say this generally speaking because I see it's a problem at lots of popular courses.
I did not give this course five stars all the way across because I played Got many upscale, resort type courses.
Locally though this is my favorite public course in the Akron Canton area
Found a new favorite course
This course was in excellent condition, both Fairways and greens, when I played on August 18th. An outstanding feature of playing here is that the golf carts have a GPS system which I think really speeds up pace of play. Everyone I met at the course that day was friendly and I made a couple of new friends that I was paired with. As my title states, I found a new favorite course
Just Beautiful
I hadn't played this course in several years. I remembered it being nice but it was even better that. A cheerful staff and a clean, well run club house started the day and the rest was a breeze. Nice tee boxes, beautiful fairways and fast, well maintained and challenging greens. The golf carts are fantastic with accurate yardage reads and about every extra you could ask for from one.
I'm looking forward to going back again very soon.
Great course!
Chippewa is the best public course in the area. Everything is top notch…greens, tee boxes, carts, clubhouse, etc. Score on the front and survive the back. Great course. Well worth the money
