Terrible Condition
I’ve never seen a course deteriorated this bad in a very short period of time. Stay away from this course…..it’s not worth playing it for free.
Good beginner course but greens too slow
Course is fine outside of the greens because they were unbelievably slow. Was the length of fringe grass on other courses. I will play again if I hear the greens are in better condition
Great track for the money
I will definitely go back, they are trying hard but the greens are in rough shape right now. Love the course, very challenging and pace of play was great.
Not worth the dough!
From tee to green here you go.
Tee boxes are grassy which makes like playing from the rough. Fairways are acceptable but a mixture of crab grass and grass makes them inconsistent to play. The greens play like Laurel Hills fairways. With aeration, fluffy, and dead patches all greens are unplayable. Recommend Fairfax county closes the course for the winter for a total rehabilitation.
This course has potential
There had been a ladies tournament that completed just before our tee time, so the course was ours. Pace of play was excellent. However, we learned from the starter that the greens had just been punched 3 days prior (with very large times). Additionally, the front nine greens had tire tracks over very little grass. Add extremely slow greens all year, and pin placements on the front nine in places where the carnage was the worst, and you have unputtable greens. The back nine greens were markedly more puttable. No reduction in price for those conditions. Due to the hot, wet, then dry conditions, many fairways had burnt out spots. This course has some fun holes and could be a lot better than what we experienced. Once the greens recover (could take awhile), please cut and roll them. They’ve been EXTREMELY slow all year. For example, you have to hit a 20 ft putt like it’s a 100 ft put - and I’m not exaggerating! Staff was friendly as always.
Good value
It’s a good course for your dollar. It’s a good level of difficulty too to test your game as a novice.
First time
Honestly I was not expecting it to be as nice as it was from prior reviews. I found it to be in better condition than some higher priced courses! I will definitely return!

Slooow Greens
First time playing here. Teed off at 0650 so there was def plenty of dew on the greens. That combined with the greens being perhaps a little long (grass height) meant the greens were really slow. We had to hammer putts to get them to the hole. Better putters than me will be able to adjust. Players need to do better at fixing their ballmarks (as usual and not the course's fault). Fairways were wide and firm, and rough wasn't too penal. I will keep this course in the rotation to play again soon.
Great value
This is a good priced golf course that provides an enjoyable round. It is very good condition, possibly the best I have seen in the last 10 years. Staff is friendly. Layout is fair but can be challenging on some holes. Pace of play is average - what should be expected for a weekend round. Overall a great value.
Great Public Course
Hard to beat the value of play at this course. Certainly gives off a public course vibe when you pull in but the price of 18 holes is a fraction of other private clubs in the area. Course surprised us given how well it was maintained. Good layout with fun holes throughout. Pace of play was fine as well. Will definitely be back to play again soon given the experience.
About face
Over the last 3 years I had dismissed this course as one of my least favorite. It wasn't until a friend of mine urged me to give it another try. After the first three holes I was surprised at how well the course and greens looked. Fifteen holes later I felt I had played on a completely different venue. Kudos to the new grounds keeper and staff. You have won me over! Greg Sakes
