Pleasant Valley Golf Club
        About
Pleasant Valley Golf Club sits just south of Dulles airport, but the expansive layout, which is absent of homes, feels much more secluded. The parkland layout tumbles across a diverse landscape of rolling hills and grassy meadows covered with hardwood forests. There is plenty of diversity throughout the golf course with some holes that are bunker-less contrasting with the links holes that have Scottish-style bunkers. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. After an uphill tee shot with a bunker on the right and a waste area on the left the second shot presents multiple choices. To the left you could take a risk with trees and a bunker but you could possibly be rewarded with a better angle for the third shot while the right side option will require a third shot over a large bunker to reach the green.

HOT Round
Got a hot deal to play here. The weather was extremely hot. Teed off at 9:50. Played a 3 hour round which was great. It went to CPO at 1PM because of the heat.
Fairways and greens were nice. Greens a touch slow but had a great time.
Pleasant Valley
Nice course but prices went up significantly in 2024 and not worth new prices.
Well Maintained
Course was in great shape
Some of tee boxes needed some work. Pace of play was great. Assuming due to the heat and price not crowded. Loved the layout. I’ll be sure to return
Pleasant Valley
Nice course but has gotten far too expensive for the quality of the course.
What a turnaround for this team!!
Wow! I can’t say enough about the turnaround at this golf course. I last played it two years ago and told myself I wasn’t going to come back. The prices they charged back then? I could play Algonkian, Twin Lakes, Herndon, Reston National (lol), Potomac shores, Westfields, brambleton, laurel hill, Blue Mash, for better price and value. Now? These are the best greens in Fairfax county if you don’t belong to an expensive country club. The fairways are beyond lush, and the tee boxes leave nothing more to be desired. This team has crushed it in the last 18-24 months and they deserve your visit and your money. You won’t find better golf at a better price anywhere else. I’ll be back all summer. South riding is the same story. Incredible!!
Nice course
Nice course with a good variety of holes. Staff were excellent as was the food in the clubhouse. Real hot day and they provided unlimited bottles of cool water which was a nice touch. The only negative was the pace of place, 3 hours for the back nine is not acceptable and didn’t seem to be any sign of the slow groups getting stirred along. Overall though a good course in great condition, albeit a bit pricey.

Course was in good shape. Occasional wait at par 3’s
Nice staff. No snack cart available on this weekday.
Will play again next time I’m in the area.
Great Course
Love the course & the layout...it'll be challenging for average golfers but offers some difficulty even for single digits.
The issue is value...$100 to play this course is ridiculous, but it's 2024 and that's what we pay in this DC market...
This course was well maintained
This course is a hidden gem. Pace of play was excellent. Greens were excellent. Got to check it out!

Course was in good condition, greens slightly fast and an occasional wait for group in front of us.
No complaints and will replay next time in the area.
a course that reuquires thinking
this is a classic strategic golf course that requires thinking your way through holes. this is what all golf should be like -- its an underrated course.
a testament to a good course is you remember the holes after you leave. I remember many of them.
some examples:
par 5 fifth - narrow fairway at driver landing area makes you consider hitting an iron. but if you hit the drive straight you enjoy a downhill, making reaching in 2 possible.
holes 14-17 are a great stretch
14 - short par 3 with little depth (bunkers in front and back) and very wide. should be easy... or an easy blowup
15 -- creek right at the driver landing area, and a tough uphill approach with not much room behind the hole.
16 - water + narrow fairway as you try to get more distance on your drive, the approach is a skinny green with significant depth and huge bunkers (and water) if you miss right
17 - double fairway -- -play to the right for a shorter hole but a forced carry on your approach. but the "safer" drive to the left leaves a tougher angle on the approach.
cost of play
the course is ok condition, but for the money that they are now charging, which is a lot mor than last year, you would think the tee boxes would be at least level. Charging as much as Westfields, and this is not Westfields.
Great Course
It was great playing here, I am a full member at another course and I am loyal but I must say this course was beautiful and played very well. Hole were a lil tough but very forgiving I WILL DEFINITELY play this course again!!🏌🏽♂️
An enjoyable and challenging experience
I’m so pleased that the cart paths were recently repaired. Greens were in very good shape. Reel boxes and fairways were nice. Would definitely return for another round.
