I played with my 8 year old grandson and we were paired with a father-son dual who were delightful. We played 9 holes in a little under 2 hours. Great value. For a public course, I thought that the conditions were pretty good for the end of October.
The perfect getaway on a fall day!
This course was a good place to play on a beautiful fall day! Good views, challenging play, and good company on the course.
Course ranger/starter
Show up for tee time right on time, course starter stops us from going straight into club house to lecture us on showing up right on time, once inside the clubhouse was friendly, once we get set to play the course ranger gives us a lecture stating he shouldn’t let us start and should make us wait 2 hours until he has a place for us to start, he really made the whole experience horrible, course conditions were awful but wasn’t expecting great due to rain the previous week, however charging full price to play in a hayfield was unwelcoming, fairways and 2nd cut were the same length, George the course starter/ranger seemed to be on a power trip and made the overall experience of this course the worse golf experience Iv had
Ditch The Clay Dirt Traps
Second time playing Meadowcreek. I played it a few years ago and was unimpressed with it. I only chose to play it again because that's where the other person wanted to play and the price was right.
For a municipal course it's not bad. My biggest issue are the "sand" traps that are really hard clay dirt traps. They should either put real sand in them or just seed them with grass and be done.
Numerous bare spots here and there, but to be expected for this type of course.
It's not thrills. No picture of the course on the score card, no signs by the holes as to hole layout and distance.
Great course
My son and law and I have played this course 2 Sundays in a row. Wish we would have found this course sooner. 1st time was after a major rain storm the night before and the course was in great shape the next day. Following Sunday was much dryer and we enjoyed it more probably because we knew what to expect. The course is fun with the elevation changes and have no complaints.
Wait till fall
The summer has taken its toll on putting surfaces. Bare spot covered in algae are almost impossible to recover from until the weather cools, and they can aerate.
Bunkers are very poor. I play them as ground under repair no matter time of year.
