Excellent
This is one of the best public courses in VA. Great course, very well managed by friendly staff.
Westfields
Great course. Blues tees are a great challenge and later in the day, the greens really slow down. Great staff and facilities.
Player's manor?
When I on the Tee box or on the fairway.. I see the condition. Repair the divot as I could. Sometimes I don't have enough send for that. When I see the beautiful tee and fairway, green.. feel awesome. Hope you players being gentle manor.

Excellent experience
Well designed and maintained golf course.
Must Play in the DC area
This was a very nice course, great layout, however the greens were very slow. Balls would stop rolling on downhills. the greens were very firm, but for some reason the balls would just stop. Best sand in the DC area, the fairway bunkers did not come into play very much if you hit the ball long. This is a very nice course, must play in the area. NOt worth the money they charge on the weekend or the regular rate however anything under $60 is a steal.
Great Layout
We were visiting from out of town and played with friends from the area who know the course. Fred Couples assisted with design and is a part-owner. The course is affiliated with a nearby Marriott property (not on site). Met in the parking lot for club pickup. Pro shop friendly and helpful. Starter explained things well, pointed us to the range, and got us out 20 minutes early. Liked the layout - a lot! Tree-lined. Lots of bunkers (great sand). A driveable par 4 (even for us mid-handicappers). Minimal water hazards. Great condition. Thick rough. Our favorite of the the courses we played in NOVA. Would recommend and would return when we are back in the area.
Great Course for Northern Virginia Golfers
I love this course. I play quite a bit. The only reason it didn't get the 5th star is because I want to save that for the really elite courses. For the weekend warriors, this is great bang for your buck. They take great care of the course, a bit of sticklers when it comes to pace on busy weekend rounds, and great practice facilities. Course Pro, Zell, has great instruction too. Perfect for any level of golfer.
A classic high-end daily fee experience
Westfields has long been a fantastic layout with a great ambience. It was in good condition last week and the customer experience is topnotch. The course has the special touches--the attendant meeting your car to carry clubs in, the driving range stocked with unlimited balls, good 19th hole options.
The course is on a wooded property with no development surrounding it, so you have a secluded feel. It's an excellent course to walk. A great variety of holes including 2-3 par 4 1/2's and one par 3 1/2 (drivable par 4).
It is not cheap, but there are discounts available if you hunt for them in advance.
Good Course in Good Condition
A straight forward golf course that is in really good condition with excellent facilities. The grounds are really well kept and it is fairly priced. There isn't one house on the course and the grounds around the course are quiet.
The deer are very comfortable and were eating the grass around at least 3 or 4 of the tee boxes!! The fairways are fast and firm and provide a lot of roll out making the course play shorter than the posted yardage. If you are hitting solid tee shots then you will have and opportunity to score well on this course because the putting isn't overly difficult. There isn't much elevation change to the course so it is definitely a course that can be walked.
The vibe around the course seemed to be one where there were alot of people who enjoyed the game.
Good as always
I always enjoy playing this course. The staff is extremely friendly and they do a good job of handling tee times. I've played here a few times and never have to wait to take a shot or have anyone waiting in you. Overall one of my favorites in the area
Excellent layout, amazing staff
This course had the friendliest staff I've run into on a golf course. The course is well designed and didn't have any glaringly weak holes. The drivable par 4 on the back is a lot of fun as well. The range is a little sparse, but it's still early in the year.
Excellent dacilities
One of the best in the area. Rivals private course in quality and staff friendliness. A must play
Ok
Bunkers were Harv with little sand
Rough was little to no grass
excellent test, excellent layout. great staff!
I went out and played Westfields two days in a row as a single and had a great time. I was lucky to be paired with two groups of great guys and we all had fun. Great weather, great humor and great golf. Cheers
P-10 Review
Excellent layout; excellent practice facility; super friendly staff. For early season, condition was very good (8/10).
challenging but fair
Course was in very good shape. Front 9 plays more difficult than back nine as several par 4s are quite lengthy and difficult.
Green condition was not usual
I have played a couple of rounds here at Westfields. They usually keep good condition of green but on this day specifically, green condition was horrible. Of course, it was off season and winter time but they still need to keep good condition.
Great Course
One of the best in this area. Fred Cupples did a good job in designing it. Well maintained and professionally managed.
..mellow, mellow...
Basically a fairly long but mellow woods course.
6800-7200 yds from the back tees, 121 slope.
Mostly flat and straight. The front 9 is a junior-golf version of the back 9, and the back9 is a decent 9 hole course. It does get a little tricky in that it has a fair number of blind shots on the par5s and you need to stay near the center of the fairway if you're going to hit long balls to where you can't see them coming down and stopping. Or the balls will go into the woods...into the leaves...and you will have no idea where and they'll disappear in two dimensions. Something that you'll learn real quick just by spinning a couple of long irons. Off the tee, from the back tees there are enough holes with long forced carries over waste to be a challenge...again the key is to pick the short side of the waste and keep the ball in play as much as possible. This often means sacrificing distance to the green in order to keep the ball in play, but the course is not long enough to really hurt much in this regard. Most of the holes are reachable in regulation even from the back tees as long as the ball stays in the fairway.
Probably #2 and #16 are outstanding challenges, maybe the back is slightly above-average in terms of difficulty, but basically this is a "drive and shoot" woods course. An easy-enough round for most players. It does not have much in the way of views to recommend it but at least there are almost no houses on the course.
mellow, mellow with a hint of spice
This is an ok course, woods-style, I'd characterize it as a bit long (playing from the back tees) but still fairly easy. Big trees, regular blind shots but no crazy doglegs or fairways except #16 which is undoubtedly a challenging hole...the main thing is to just keep the ball near the middle of the fairway and out of the rough near the greens. The only really tough hole on the front is the 280yd par #3. Front side is really just a decent 9 hole walk in the park, very flat, wide-open greens, not much in the way of waste or forced carries. The back 9 amps it up and is a good challenge. It still never really gets hard but it does give the player a chance to bite off more than they can chew and hit into trouble. It is still a fairly benign course. Course seems to be an ok round but still a bit over-priced, overblown for what it gives, nothing really scenic about it...but virtually no houses and a guaranteed peaceful round.
Nice amenities, good clubhouse, definitely an upscale place.
