Westfields Golf Club

Good layout, lots of challenges, but needs to be marshaled--way to slow play!

Westfields is comparable to that nice guy you know, that doesn't really do much, is pretty selfish, prideful and doesn't seem to have a firm grip on reality. It's a decent course. The layout is pretty unique. Play from the Boom Boom tees, the second set has you flying a lot of hazards and takes away from the design. Friendly people, clean facilities. The course needs help, the course operations need help. Overpriced for what it is.

Very friendly staff and wonderful course. Had the private club feel without the extraordinary cost. Alan Glickman was a true gem.

Westfields is always a great golf experience from the time you park your car to the time you complete your round. Excellent value at the discounted rate. Not that it is important….but from the blue tees the course is seriously underrated - far more difficult than Twin Lakes Oaks course down the road. Specials thanks to the staff - perhaps the best in the area.

My foursome enjoyed this course. We will be returning.

The only thing keeping this course from all 5 stars is the current condition of some of the greens. They have done the responsible thing and lowered the rates until they completely fill in.

One of the best layouts in the area and strong test from back tees, but fairways are heavily divoted. Staff, from pro shop to beverage cart and assistants, are excellent. Grass tees on range are a welcome change from matts.

The course layout was great. The staff were excellent. I would definitely play at Westfields again.

I only had a few minor issues:
-There's a few rough spots on some of the greens and some of the rough hasn't quite grown in yet but otherwise the conditions were very good. I know it is still early in the year and things should improve.
-The pace of play was good as we made it around in about 4 1/4 - 4 1/2 hours. It could have been much faster but I got paired up with 2 of the most methodical players I've ever played with.
-We only saw the beverage cart twice and the 2nd time she barely had anything left. It would've been nicer to see the beverage cart a little more frequently.
-They could use some new range balls.

Overall, this is a great course. It was my first time playing this course and I usually opt for a less expensive option but my brother and I were looking for something a little fancier. Although the price is really steep and I probably could only play this course every couple months, it is very nice and fun to play. I love having the practice balls included and the staff and starter was extremely pleasant. We requested not to be paired up and they obliged which is refreshing and very nice. Thanks for a good time!

Really like this course and the staff is great. However for the price of this course, their greens right now are average at best. I know we have harsh weather and blah blah blah, but the greens to be honest, they were just miserable. I'll give them another shot but not anytime soon unless see a good deal

Great place to play, price is in between, but is worthy a few times a year.

Greens are still recovering fron the bad winter we had, so do not spect to find the same condition that the practice green is in., :-)

Have fun, if you have no groups behind you, try the "boom-boom t's, lots of fun.

If you are out there looking to score. Play fron the apropiate tee, so you can enjoy.

I've been going to public courses in the DC area for about two years and this is by far the best I have been at. It is essentially a country club in the way it operates (pull up and they take your clubs and bring them to the practice green... Walk up to the driving range and hit as many balls as you would like... They clean your clubs after the round) but it only cost me $52 to play twilight. Course has a ton of fun holes and it challenging but not overly so. Greens were very quick but rolled true. Good course for $100. Amazing course for $50.

I like to play this course again soon.

Several greens were in very bad shape -- unable to even putt on them. Also, no course control -- waited on every shot for the entire round. An interesting course but they need to pay attention to the important details.

Nice course, well maintained, courteous staff.
Attendant brought my clubs to the tee area. Driving range was great. I came down to VirgInia from NJ for the holidays and found the course online. will definitely come back when I return.

This is an excellent course with friendly staff. We loved the layout of the course and will definitely be going back.

All positive things to say minus aerated greens. Windy day but still an enjoyable experience. Tough pins on the day we played. Fun course to play. Definitely one of the top 5 courses that the public can play in NOVA.

Some of the greens are punched and sanded, but the rate was was good (59) on GolfNow.

Good conditions considering there was probably 8inches of snow on the course four days earlier.

The course management was great. Especially, the staff was very kind.
