Westfields Golf Club

This is a nice course set in a natural setting with plenty of wildlife. Unfortunately, the day before we played the course had huge thunderstorms and lots of rain. For most courses this would not be a problem the following day but this course does not drain well. Even though the weather conditions were hot and dry on our golf outing, the course was extremely wet and bunkers were in terrible condition (washed out and/or pools of water). Another disappointment were the greens. Normally, these bent grass greens are a treat! However, the wet conditions contributed to excessive spike marks and had excessive ball marks so it was impossible to get good rolls to the cup. Overall, disappointing since this is such a pretty course under the right conditions.

Overall condition was good ++ and has a old time type of layout with tree lined fairways with well protected greens.

Westfields is one of the better managed golf courses locally. The course is in great shape and well maintained. We played as a twosome. Two groups let us play through and we made it around the track in 3 hours flat. Happy to recommend golfing here.

Westfield's has always been one of my favorites, their level of service is top notch and the attention to detail is fantastic.
The sand traps have been redone with pillow soft sand that is excellent to play from. The rangers, starters, beverage cart, bartenders, pro shop, everything is excellent here.
Plan nothing after the round, because the food and bar are great and I always enjoy the atmosphere of this clubhouse.
This course has some of the most beautiful holes in NOVA. The difficulty is only as hard as you choose. Men's tees from 6000-6800 yards makes it very accessible. I played up a tee box and had a great time, and still very challenging!

I played with a member, which was a real help. Course was in great shape and well-maintained.

Great and friendly service. All of our group was handed a cold moist towel after our round. They clean your clubs and take them to the parking lot for you. I love the air hose with wand to clean the grass out of the golf cleats. Ball markers, tees, and divot repair tools are included at the beginning of your round.

Course in great shape. Friendly, attentive staff. First class facility.

OK course, nothing spectacular (especially nothing that warrants a +$100 primetime greens fee.) $65 is about right for this course.

I play a lot of golf...to me the best two public course options are between Westfields and Stonewall. What puts Westfields over the top is the way they treat you. From the moment you arrive, you are treated with respect. Someone is in the parking lot waiting on your golf clubs to drive them around back for you. There are no receipts necessary as the staff at the pro-shop radio down to the starter once you have paid. Once your round is complete, they wipe off your clubs and pull your clubs around to your car. First class service. I also love the fact that there are ZERO houses in sight on this course. It is simply golf and the beautiful woods of Clifton, Virginia. This is truly the best golf experience in Northern Virginia. Treat yourself!

Everyone in our group had a great time. Play was slowed by the CART PATH ONLY status, but we found the course to be in great shape. The staff was friendly and attentive. I will go back to play on a drier day.

The course was very beautiful and i enjoy the course.

The greens were very hard. It may have been the hardest greens I have ever experienced. Approach shots did not hold the green at all and putting was very fast. There are lots of bunkers, including fairfay but if you are long hitter they do not come into play too often. If the greens were a bit more forgiving, I would have rated this course excellent for the $48 that I paid. Staff is very friendly. It definatly has the country club feel.

Courteous and professional staff. I play all over the area and this is in my top three. I love this course and always look forward to playing here. Highly recommend.

This course is amazing. I haven't played all of the upper tier courses in the DMV, but I can't imagine that (m)any of them can top Westfields. Fairways were beautiful, the greens were slick and consistent, and the bunkers were very well prepared. Can't say enough about this course. Plus, every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful.
There are thoughtful touches all over this course (towels in the cart; tees and markers at the pro shop and before the 1st/10th holes; and a very attentive beer cart) that ensure that you'll want to come back.
Now, I just need a couple promotions so I can afford to play here all the time.

My first time out at westfields today. I shot an 80 from the "boom boom" tees. I usually play tougher courses, so I think this course just is easier, but excellent playability and accessible pins, as well as some tough pins. All around I really just had a great time out there and I truly cant wait to go back ASAP

Course is well maintained . New sand was added to 95% of the bunkers- they were striped and new white fluffy sand added. Spring airation has taken well.Place always has great staff

This Fred Couples course proved to be very challenging and enjoyable. The did have some issues on their greens because of the powhanna taking root. It appears that they are working to rectify that situation. Overall though, the course is a great course to play and is challenging but fair.

Field is nice, employees are very friendly, driving range is great free of charge.

Several long par fours, up hill at that. Perfect par threes. Reachable par fives. Band new sand, six inches of fluff. Water on three holes, only in play on two. Large greens with ridges and table tops.
