great course !
the course was great as usual. However, the sand bunker was under repair and one of hole(I think 14th) was under the water and we played 10hole instead again.
bunker. tee box.
everything was perfect except bunker was under construction and all tee box were up front. all par3 hole were less than 120 yds.
Outstanding Golf!
First class treatment and a first class course! Well managed with superb staff.
Great course, good conditions, good pace of play.
It was sub 40 degrees when we started so naturally the ground was hard and the greens were like cement, but as the day moved on the ground softened up. Pace of play was great, as not too many folks were out playing. My group played the front 9 again afterwards and there was no waiting on tee boxes with more folks on the course. Love Westfields, great course, and lay out with challenging and forgiving holes. Obviously winter time course conditions go with the territory, and it was well kept for the time of year. Looking forward to more rounds at Westfields this year
An enjoyable course.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice layout and amenities.
Winter round and considering there had been wet weather recently, the course was in good condition for this time of year. It shows that the course is well taken care of.
I look forward to more rounds there this Spring.
Nice layout but frost has not been kind to the greens
This is the first time I've ever played Westfields. I really like the layout and variation of holes. I realize that since this is the middle of winter, the tee boxes don't have a chance to grow back so I wasn't surprised when there were a lot of divots. The fairways were in good shape as were the bunkers. The greens were in kinda tough shape. As usual, not enough players repaired ball marks but the greens themselves were a bit "furry". In fairness, we have been having frigid nights so that tempers my expectations. I will definitely come back and play in the spring and summer. I'm confident that the conditions will have improved so I can really enjoy this track.
Super friendly starter - David
Westfield has been one of my favorite courses. Now it has gone up the list because of the super friendly starter - David. He made us felt like playing at a private course, true to the slogan, "Public Course kept Private".
I'm definitely going there again soon.
Great course, I love WESTFIELDS. Round took way too long! See below.
For Winter, decent shape. Our round was played behind two mothers (not playing) but acting as caddies for their two son's. That would have been fine but they paired them with another twosome. Here's where the extra hour in our round came into play. The kids played great, I mean they really hit it well and took FOREVER with Mom adding a lot of time to each shot. Come on MOM, Your son can play but get the H3ll out of the way. Play an 8 hour round if you want but let people through!!!!!
There is no better staff in the area and the course is even better!
As soon as I drove into the parking lot there was an attendant waving to me.Although this was my first time playing Westfields he knew my name and gave me a quick run down of the club including, clubhouse, driving range and the complementary coffee station. I was the first one off at 9:00am and the course was in wonderful condition for winter golf. They even had a wood stove burning with holiday music playing to enhance the ambiance. The driving range is set up for you already and all you have to do is warm up and hit as many balls as you can before you tee off. The staff in the pro shop was extremely friendly and made me feel as if I was a member of the club. I played from the whites and shot my best round ever (85) in 3 1/2 hours! Because the staff was so friendly and the course so immaculate, I decided to play another round($25 replay!) and the starter was very accommodating, so I used the luxury hotel-like rest room facilities got a drink and started my second round at 12:40 and although I did not play as well(95) this was no "Good walk spoiled" because the course was so beautiful and the atmosphere so positive and optimistic nothing even a round full of struggles on my part could have ruined such a wonderful experience at Westfields. After my round the attendant came and gave me a hot towel (it was a high of 45 degrees) and he wiped down every single one of my clubs then took them up to the drop off near my car in the parking lot. This course has some really fun holes with two short par 4s that tempt you to try and reach the greens from your tee shot. I will definitely be coming back to Westfields. If they treat non-members this spectacularly, I can only imagine how a member must feel. Hmmm not a bad Idea!
Excellent course, excellent service makes for good golf
Got a good deal on GolfNow and decided to take my foursome to this course as it came highly rated. I must say that it lived up to the hype. No more than a minute after pulling into the parking lot, there was a golf club attendant picking up our clubs to prep them for the carts. Practice facility was standard, but a bonus was the free balls. We started on time and ended up playing the round in 4 to 4.5 hrs and that was on a Sunday. The course marshals really kept players on track, but they never seemed pushy. The fairways were lush, the bunkers were in great shape (we found a bunch of them), greens were decent - for this time of year I don't think one could find better. Overall, the other three guys and I all agree that we will be back as we all had an excellent outing at this course.
Great hot deal
I play Westfields often however when the hot deal price came up On GolfNow I couldn't pass on that deal. I would normally not play under the Bitter cold conditions But again, too hard to pass up.
Fantastic natural course !
It was a really nice cuorse, natural and so beautiful !
Great course - tough greens
Played Westfields yesterday after an absence of several years. Used to be too expensive for me but the price through GolfNow has made it affordable again. Still the same Private Club feel, with a welcoming staff, courteous service, great layout, and nice clubhouse. One criticism, some tee boxes are close to the previous green. In one instance, while we were preparing to tee off, a ball hit our cart from an approach shot that overflew the previous green.
The course is no pushover. Narrowing fairways in spots with slope and elevation changes resulting in some blind shots and sideways bounces. The greens were especially tough, I thought. It was difficult to stop the ball, even with a lofted shot, and the breaks were subtle which, combined with the fast greens, magnified even slight miscalculations in your putt alignment or stroke. Well maintained except for some of the sand bunkers, which were not groomed. They were working hard to keep the leaves off the fairways and greens and did a good job of that. It is a beautiful course worth playing.
Hidden gem.....
This is a great course that is often over looked. It is easy to get to, and always in great shape. Its not long, but it is tight. Its not built around a bunch of homes, which is nice. For the price, it cannot be beat.
Great course and great staff!... They treat everyone like a member

awesome course!
great condition. perfect fairways! PAG style! i would play here again.
Westfields provides a private club experience without the annual membership fee.
I purchased one of their discount rates. Can't beat the very real private club feel for the price of a normal round of golf at a public course.
great course in good condition. little bit expensive.
great course in good condition. little bit expensive. the course is a challenge. its well maintained and a worthy course. I especially appreciate the holes 14,15 16 very very nice.
Great course. Well maintained. Web page advertisement "Public course with Private course treatment" is accurate.

Usually in much better condition
Great course and is usually in excellent condition but dry summer has taken its toll on a bunch of courses in the area so not in tip top condition. Pace of play was also a little slow on this occasion.
