First foursome in 30 years
I am getting back into the game after quitting in disgust 30 years ago, played about a half dozen rounds this spring solo or with 1 or 2 other guys
Fun Par-3
First time playing here. Only played the front 9 but it’s a fun course. It was in pretty decent condition. Good place for beginners or for anyone who wants to work on their par 3’s and short game.
Dat at Burke Lake
Wet day so very quiet on back none, even with 11:10 start. Burke Lake is a solid par 3 course.
Like Augusta
It was perfect weather and we played in late afternoon when the sun was in the perfect position to give the course a golden glow. Because it was late April everything was greeen and lush. Absolutely perfect conditions, and I was paired up with a great guy who was like a brother by the end of the round. What a day!
Greatest place to work on your game
The greens are perfect right now, they’re going be even more perfect next weekend. Fairways and tee boxes are about a 7 out of 10 but what’s higher besides Laurel Hill and Potomac Shores… The range is absolutely worth a trip, heated bays, great mats, I will say the yardage flags aren’t my favorite but they get the job done. The coaches are great, Luke is absolutely phenomenal, he took me from a 120 to 100 in 4 lessons out of 5. The price for a bucket of balls if you prepay the $100 is an absolute steal! This is the place to work on your game, this place is kept up with very well. It’s a no thrills place but that’s what you need when it’s time to work on your game. It’s the absolute best place for a beginner, and people who actually want to improve their game. So blessed to live so close to such a great facility and course!
It’s worth playing for practice
If you can get pass the geese droppings and muddy conditions, it’s a great par 3 course to polish up your short game and experiment with irons and woods.
Perfect place to get out and enjoy
Great layout and conditions. Course is in great shape and a local gem.
