About
The Gauntlet is situated along the banks of the lake that is the centerpiece of Curtis Memorial Park. When it first opened in 1995, Golf Digest recognized it as one of the "top ten new courses to play in the U.S." This challenging layout will definitely test your shot making abilities. The golf course begins with a tough front nine that has several sharp doglegs over water and tall grasses. There are also a slew of blind shots. The back nine is a bit gentler since there's less water and it is more open and forgiving, but the large, multi-tiered greens can be tricky. The fourth hole is the golf course's signature. Your tee shot will have to carry a marsh to a narrow landing area on this par 5. After that, you'll be faced with a triple-tiered green with the lake to the left and bunkers to the right.

Great golf course very friendly cashier.
Staff is really accommodating and friendly. Course condition is great just a couple of greens that needs attention….
Great course!
Everything from the check-in (I was a single), to starter, to layout of course was excellent. Some bunkers are under repair but overall a nice and well maintained course. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
This course has great layout
The Gauntlet’s layout is great - lot’s of doglegs with elevation changes. It really challenges all level of golfers. Now, it’s in the best condition I’ve seen it in many, many years. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are all in great shape. Most of the bunkers have been reconditioned with powdery white sand. It was a real pleasure to play The Gauntlet. I’ll be back, even though it’s a long drive for me. I highly recommend it!
long time coming
This is my first time back since 2010 and the course have much improved since then .. the greens are running much faster than in the past .. I look forward to going back to redeem myself for some of the holes
that I screwed up (lol)

An interesting, challenging course with extremely friendly staff. Nice to sit on the veranda and watch others finish.
The Gauntlet - worth the Challenge
This is a course that is every bit " Pete Dye"! I enjoyed playing the course with its hilly fairways and medium speed putting greens. The staff is friendly, and very helpful. The manager is always working to keep the course in good condition, and you can't beat the value forthe price to play! I play this course at least twice a week, and it challenges me every time I play Gauntlet.Do your self a favor, and go play a good course with cold beer., plenty of good food, and drinks! James W
Making Memories 1 hole at a time
Under New Directions Management the Gauntlet has made a major leap forward to becoming the course the designer was trying to achieve. Every single shot requires the golfers full attention.
I am impressed that the course is so accessible and able to challenge every level of golfer.
Course is looking great, the work on the bunkers and greens is paying off.

A challenge for first timers but beautiful course in park setting (no houses!) with an abundance of wildlife to see along the way. Well run facility.
