We live in N. Virginia - not worth the drive

starter put us on the course that had too many players going out just before us, while the other 2 courses were not as crowded. fairways and greens were in good condition but areas off the fairways needed to have the grass trimmed; very difficult to find your ball. several blind holes; would be very useful to have descriptions of each hole. Longest hole is more like an obstacle course with a blind pond off the tee and an unreasonable fairway slope. not worth the drive.

Great for the money

For $40 you get greens fees and carts, and the course is in great shape. The greens are massive with a lot of undulations, and were definitely challenging. Overall, you can't go wrong for the price.

Rough....Rough

If you hit in rough your chance of finding your ball is not too good. I've been playing for 20 rears and this is the most difficult I've ever encountered. Greens and fairways are excellent. Bunkers could use some attention. We enjoyed the 27 holes we played and recommend this course.

The Definition of Unique

I've played this course 3 or 4 times now even though it's over an hour and a half away. It offers three 9-hole courses, each named after their most prominant hole: a par-3 with an island green, a par-3 on top of a waterfall (that you drive your cart behind/under on your way to the green#, and the longest hole in America, a 800+-yard par-6.

If you like variety and playfulness in a golf course, this place is for you. If you like your links with a standard layout and gimmick-free, this place probably isn't for you. Besides the holes mentioned about, there is a par-3 in the shape of a baseball field #complete with an "outfield" fence), a par-3 with an "island" green surrounded completely by sand, and every golf course landscape feature known to man. Every hole is completely different from the last, you will not be bored with this course to say the least.

The condition of the course is above average but not exceptional. Greens are slightly fast and the rough is thick--you might lose balls from well-hit tee shots. The staff is very friendly but play can be slow on the weekends.

Golf Now usually has great deals for this course so it's worth a try!
