Lake of the Woods Country Club

Lots of TLC have been put into the green complexes. If the tee boxes and fairways receive the same love at some point, this course will be one i play regularly. That said, T I G H T. Be accurate or bring plenty of extra balls. OB left and right on almost every hole.

Greens and rough in good shape. Fairways have bare spot every where…lack of water? Great pace of play, my twosome finished in less than four hours.

Nice place, friendly professional staff, the grass needs rain! Very dusty but had a great time. Once spring kicks in things will change but right now the ground is hard and in need of water.

Choose to play here because we couldn’t get a tee time at the course we were looking to play. First, the greens are absolutely incredible. Looks like they were recent redone and looked great. I had my youngest kid playing with me so I also liked having the options of the multiple tee locations for each hole. It was very helpful and made it more enjoyable for him. Next, the bad… The fairways were HARD as rocks and gave no forgiveness if you hit a shot fat. It played like they hadn’t gotten water in months which was odd because the week before, our area had received a lot of rain throughout the week. It had even rained pretty hard the day before so I was shocked by how dry and hard they were. All in all, for the price you’ll pay, it’s a decent round. Definitely nothing super negative to say.

Summer grass in fairways that will not start growing for a couple of months, so lots of hard pan lies. Greens were great shape though and very fast.

Some of the best greens in the area. Worth the trip to play if you like fast greens.

Couldn’t beat the friendliness of the staff and the course conditions for December were great!!

Must hit it straight or bring a couple dozen balls. Greens are fast and undulating . Not for beginners . . Lady bartender not very cheerful . That’s why you always see men waitstaff mostly at higher class restaurants and bars . No drama , just professionalism . Sorry , I’m a fan of nice women bartenders but without the attitude

The course is a great shorter course and in really good condition, not too difficult but it does help if you can shape your driver both ways. Bunkers with new sand and the course has Bermuda grass. Players don't do a good job repairing pitch marks so if you are mid day - may have some bumps but the greens were rolling with a bit of a quickness. The only real downside is no driving range but a good practice area and putting green. Overall a great place to go for the money.
