Ottawa Park Golf Course

$45 dollars for them to over book the tee times. groups waiting all day. VERY POOR course conditions. the holes looked like a blind man cut them out. the greens were in terrible shape. this course isn’t worth $25. no sand in the bunkers. the course was almost unplayable.

I frequently come to ottawa as I'm a big fan of this short gem of a course with beautiful scenery but have been disappointed recently in my experiences. Pace of play has been getting a bit out of hand as you're frequently getting log jammed behind people with no warden to keep it moving or have people play through. Booked the tee time in advance and was not informed of any flooding/damage cause to the course and was told when I arrived that 17/18 were closed and 9 was playing as a par 3 with no notice. The pro shop has been out of gloves for months and the time before this that I was there, I was rudely treated by their groundskeepers who decided to blow dust dirt and leaves into our cart on the 14th green and when I confronted the people for getting dust and dirt all over our clubs, food and belongings, he simply just shrugged, didn't apologize and went on with his day like nothing happened. Hope things here can get back to the way they used to be because this is truly one of the best courses out there in Toledo.

Short course really gives the big hitters an opportunity to go low here. My playing partner hits a nice long drive on the par 4 #9 hole. It's 252 to the center of the green but the flag is tucked in the back left corner, so playing 262ish. Ball lands between the green and the bunker protecting it. It then bounces in the air and slam dunks into the hole. The bunker blocked our view so we had no idea it wrnt in. We drive to the green to apologize to the group in front for hitting up on them and they tell us that the ball went in. Absolutely crazy !

I went into the clubhouse and they had no golfballs for sale? “These are display only sir.” I have never seen that in my life… WOW

potential to be one of the best in Toledo! but the undiscplined golfers kept play slow ! a group jumped on at 15 and made a bad day worse for speed of play . 4.5 hrs on a friday at noon tee time! but i do like this old golf course!

We had a great experience playing at this. The course is not too long, but has plenty of challenges. My, an older gentleman appreciates this aspect of the course. Also, it was in very good condition.

Nice challenging short course. No Marshall to regulate pace of play. Too many hole jumpers. Happened too many times. Greens we’re in great shape, but no one fixes their pitch marks and there were way too many people playing from the Blue/white tee boxes and only hit the ball 50 yards. Should’ve been on the reds.

Ottawa is always one of my favorite courses in the area to play. It's a beautiful course, and it was in better shape than I've seen in quite awhile, for the most part. The rough was thick, the fairways were soft. Some of the greens could use some work, #11 has been pretty bad for years, but a lot of that comes down to players not fixing ball marks. I will say it's gotten pretty expensive over the years, you can probably find better value for your money. There are a couple nicer courses you can play in the area for the same money you pay at Ottawa. But still a great place to go.

Are there some banged up greens and fairways,? Yes Are you smack dab in the middle of Toledo? Unfortunately, also yes.

Played here with my 8 year old and had deer/buck crossing and grazing on almost every hole. We see bucks here almost every time we play. It’s wild. Right in the middle of the city.

The course is old. Oldest course east of NYC as a matter of fact, but it just plays beautifully. The holes flow into one another nicely and the scenery is gorgeous at every turn.

Couple real sneaky par 3’s under 100yd that seem so easy but prove challenging every time.

Several drivable par 4’s make for some fun eagle chips/putts which of course, I’ll miss, as well as the follow up birdie most likely, but hey, “Drove the green” sounds pretty good.

Look, you should be playing here, plain and simple. You can’t beat the value and quality of golf you’ll get.

Course was in good shape. Couple of rough greens but nothing terrible. No waiting the entire round and great weather. Shot a 81 which is a personal best.

Going back tomorrow.

Ottawa is fun. It is a short course. If you want to work on your irons and short game it is a great course. The staff is friendly. They do not have a driving range but they do have a chipping/putting green. They have a nice selection of craft beer. I hate holes 17 and 18. They get me every time.

I’d play there again for the same price or less of course lol.. but to be honest that was my last option

Beautiful course with scenic views and yardages that are deceitfully difficult.

This place is a absolute embarrassment… Tee times set for 6:05 am and no workers show up til 6:35 am.. 20 golfers sitting around waiting…. Big huge dead spots on all the greens and fairways.. tee box’s all chewed up and have the Gaul to charge 42.00 per person for a crap course on terrible condition and from the tips is still under 6,000 yards

One par 3 played 42 yards and all under 85 yards.!!!!!!

Worst golf experience ever …. A total waste of time… played tons of better course for half that price…..
