First nine was a little slow but my overall first impression fairways were in really good shape the greens were pretty fast for never playing this course I highly recommend it It was a good price and not too far from where we stayed at the beach
Great public course
Great layout makes for a great pace of play here. The course was firm and we got a lot of roll out of our drives and long irons. Tee boxes were under some repair so despite a good slope and rating it will feel a little short if you play from the tips. This is a fun strait forward course and you can not beat the value in VB.
Father and Son
This was my father's first time at this course and he was well pleased. We had a good time.
Course is golfer friendly
The course is somewhat open on the front and a little more challenging on the back 9.
Would definitely play here again
It was rainy today, still had a good time out there. They kept the pace moving pretty good. Worth the money.
Great Day!
We had a great round at Kemps. Good quality for the money. People are very friendly, esp. the cafe lady.
Good for the price
Good for the price, course was kind of like playing in a backyard. Fairways were not in great shape, greens were decent though, sand was awful. I didn't mind the shape of the course being I paid 20 bucks, my complaint is the staff. The Starter was yelling at my group thinking we didn't have a tee time and was cursing tell others to go infront. No cart service at all perhaps due to corona. Range was limited to only irons and was a total dump but 7 bucks for a large bucket I couldn't complain. Overall I'd play again but I wouldn't pay more than 25 for a round

Great course
We went on a beautiful day. Wasn’t rushed, everything was good. It didn’t rain the last two days and the course conditions were still good. Will definitely play again
Great Venue
Staff is friendly and helpful. Course is in great shape. Tight fairways and fast greens.
Decent Course
The staff are great here, and kept things moving despite being very busy and with added precautions due to the ongoing pandemic. I’d rate this course higher, but there are a few detractors. First, there are multiple tee boxes that are bare dirt. Then, there are odd fences/nets put up throughout the course. I get wanting to block errant shots, but these seem unnecessary. The greens are okay, not smooth, but okay.
Otherwise, it’s short but has some challenging holes. Fairways were overall dry and well maintained, but all bunkers were paved down; many taken out all together and allowed to grow back. I’d play here again; for the price point it’s not bad.
You get what you pay for.
Kemps Greens is a friendly public course that is pretty cheap on the right days and hours. Played 18 with a cart for $22. Greens were aerated but from when I have went in the past, the greens are typically smooth and aren't too fast or slow for a public course. Fairways can be spotty near the edges, but typically are above average for what you pay at other $20 courses. Course can be challenging for the players who have issues driving in some tighter tee boxes. Greens are elevated, bunkers could use some work. Practice facilities are pretty good besides the driving range. Putting green is large and plenty of holes, good chipping green with practice bunker and a "green" like landing area. Driving range is limited, hit off mats and only 200 yards or so to work with (no drivers/woods/long irons for most people). Driving range does creep onto 18th hole. All in all for a quick 18 with buddies--not a bad place. If you are looking for a top course in the area, this isn't it.

Best bang for the buck in the VB area for public courses
I have played a few courses in the area and I can’t recommend this course enough..
This one is by far the best bang for your buck. Reasonable green fee’s great layout, challenging but not overwhelming, decently kept, and friendly staff
If I lived closer I would play it every week but it will become part of my rotation for sure.
First time at this course. Course was in good shape for the time of the year. Tee boxes were very small and uneven. Other than that, I enjoyed my round here. Would play again.
