I don't think you should have to pay full price for aerated greens. Other than that I had a good time.

We enjoy this course, it's the start of the season for us. We always come back.

Love it here. I bit wet due to previous weather conditions. We usually walk so not a problem. We will be back.\

here for marathon but got in a round, rained prior day , so some flooding and debris issues but enjoyed very much

I have played Redwing Lake GC many times over the years. I remember playing there not long after it first opened many years ago, and it has always been an enjoyable course...even after the significant rework with added lakes back in the 1990's!

The one thing that is a glaring issue is the need to rework Hole #3. They have moved all the tees up to within around 130 yards of the green and designated it as a Par 3 due to the excessive ponding that has developed over the past few years with significant water standing throughout the fairway. It really should be fixed and the solution is NOT to try and drain it since the adjacent lake level is too high. I suggest that the entire fairway be raised with fill (maybe also requiring the green be raised as well) and sloped to drain to the lake adjacent to the original tee boxes. That would restore that hole to a par 4.

Hopefully, something can be done to fix that hole.

Getting the online rate was a plus. The pace of play was slow. I will play there again, on a week day, definitely not on a weekend.

The fairways were in pretty good shape, except for hole #3. That hole needs to be fixed. Probably the best solution would be to bring in lots of fill/dirt and completely raise the entire fairway to get rid of the ponds that have developed over time. There’s no reason why they can’t fix that hole and restore it to a regular par 4…not a modified par3.

All of the greens were in good shape, except for the green on #13 (the par 5). The weeds should be eliminated and the entire green smoothed out.

Everything else is in good condition.

Next time I’ll try to remember to take pictures of the conditions that I’m describing.

Old school George Cobb design that has some fun golf holes and ok course conditions.

For the price and lay out, it is a forgiving course but challenging.

First time coming to this great course. The best course I’ve been to in Virginia Beach by far. It would be great if you could bring your own adult beverages but you take what you can get with a course this good.

Course was in decent condition for this time of year. Fairways a little bare, grass is all dead. Greens we're good.only real complaint ,a couple fairways had standing water that has been there for months. So deep and big you can't get your ball out. Not fair to loose a $4 golf ball in the middle of the fairway
