About
Stumpy Lake Golf Course is a Robert Trent Jones design that provides a unique golfing experience. This scenic layout is routed across a 1,400-acre nature preserve that is absent of any commercial or residential development for miles. The golf course wraps around its namesake lake, which has a canoe and kayak launch as well as a fishing pier. Deer, fox, and eagles are frequently seen on the course and there has even been the occasional bear sighting. Water has a prominent presence throughout and there are also several strategically placed bunkers. Stumpy Lake Golf Course is a layout that will force you to be creative with your shot making but it's still approachable enough for high handicappers to tackle with confidence. If you're looking to get in even more golf, sister club Honey Bee is located almost right next door.

Surprised
I haven’t play there in many years. To our surprise the course was in very good shape, pace of play was great and the staff was friendly (especially the starter)
Tee boxes need some TLC, fairways good+, greens for the most part are green+, soft, slowish but for a resort course just what expected. (players ~ please fix your balls marks) Was a little apprehensive after reading last years reviews, but looks like efforts to rekindle are really paying off. Had lots of fun with son-in-law and 20 year old grandsons.
Not the worst
My second time here, the course management has been poor both times, 6 minutes between tee times isn't working. Tee boxes are extremely hard, no grass and hard to get a tee in. Those are my gripes, besides that the course is beautiful and i would go back.
Great value
Value for money course. Tee boxes need a little work, , green are in good shape.
