Bow Creek Golf Course

Awful conditions, poor facility. Should close until they get in working/playing order.

Ne Serait-ce le bruit assourdissant des F-18 au dessus de nos têtes le Jeu n' en n'aurait été que plus plaisant. Mais à la période où nous avons joué il n'y avait personne sur le terrain.

Greens were average, fairways, what fairways, you had to go 20 yards to find a piece of grass to hit from. Just not worth the $35 we paid. Staff was friendly. Had to be to accommodate to 1/2 mile wall in thru construction.

The course is in decent shape and the Pro shop was in a trailer due to renovation which was fine with me. I played here several other times and the staff is friendly like on any course. People always rate the friendliness of the staff which to me doesn't matter, pay your green fee and keep it moving. I realize that they usually speak more to the guys that frequent the course more often like retirees which play this course a lot, that contributes to the pace of play which is not the fastest. Overall if you want a bargain this is one of those places to go in Virginia Beach.

I would wait until next spring to play this course, even though it only cost $9 to play 18 I felt that was to much, there were holes were you couldn't tell the fairway from the green and the leaves were horrible. I lost 4 balls that were in the fairways but couldn't find them with all the leaves that dropped. Looked like the grounds crew hadn't been out on the course in a few days.

LOTS OF CONSTRUCTION GOING ON BUT IT WILL BENEFIT THE COURSE IN THE LONG RUN. UNFORTUNATELY YOUR PARKING ON MUD AND HOPING NOTHING PUTS A HOLE IN YOUR TIRE IN THE PARKING LOT. THAT BEING SAID THE COURSE WAS PLAYABLE AND ENJOYABLE. COULD USE A LITTLE WORK BUT STILL REMAINS A FUN COURSE TO PLAY. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY ENOUGH AND ANSWERED ANY QUESTION I HAD PRIOR TO PLAYING IT. FOR THE DEALS YOU GET HERE ON GOLFNOW I WOULD PLAY IT AGAIN.

Course is nice for the price shot my lowest score of 80 there and I will play again.

First time playing this course. I was apprehensive at first glimpse because of all the construction going on. Once we walked past the construction it was a lot of fun. The construction does not interfere at all. This is a great course for new players to practice on keeping the ball straight and not losing them if you go off course.

Nothing super special about the course but well worth your money.

The tee boxes look like you were playing from the rough the bunkers had weeds taller than me the ponds had no water it is just a terrible course overa

Overall the course is in pretty good shape. There are two things that could make the golf course better in my opinion. First, the tee boxes need a lot of work. Second, they need yardage markers on the sprinkler heads.

i played this course monday, august 26, 2013. it is in the best condition that i have ever seen it. ( i have played here since 1982)

Tee boxes were hairy and uneven. Some areas you could not tell where the fairway ended and the rough began. Clumps of weeds in fairways. No one fixed ball marks on green. If you're looking to practice, and don't want to go to the range, you can whack the ball around this course for less money. If you're looking for a good golf experience, choose a different course.

Some family came in town last minute and wanted to get a quick Saturday morning round in. The course played pretty easy and was not in the best conditions but for a last minute 30$ round it was not terrible.

Greens were fantastic, even hazards were well maintained.

This course is fairly priced while they are undergoing some construction. The construction doesn't affect the course at all though, just the parking areas. I hope when complete the prices stay the same. Course in great condition, when I pulled up and saw the construction and knowing what I laid I expected to see an un-maintained course but I couldn't not have been more wrong. I'm a beginner so I am averaging about 103 but this course is great for my level and from what I saw, great for the great guys as well...

Construction kind of takes away from the experience but the course is very smooth.

The greens were basically sand. Sign said course in great shape would hate to see it in bad shape.. very disappointed.

Look I played $16 to play the course so its pretty darn cheap. Is it a good course? No way. Frankly, I think spending the extra money ($35 at Hells Point) is a much better investment. I was only able to pull out my driver on 2 of Bow Creek's holes.The course is very short and very narrow and not at all a course that a person who has any distannce would ever want to play. If you are an internmediate golfer or better, just stay away!
