Convenient
It's fun to play but you will be searching for your ball more than you would on other courses. I would recommend this course to anyone, just play the back 9 twice. The front 9 needs a lot of love
Won't Be Back
First off this is a municipal course so I was generous with my rating, but boy.....
We've had rain for a week so I wasn't expecting the course to play fast, or get much from it in ways of distance after my shot, but the irrigation on this course is just awful. Looking at my legs after the round, you would have think I'd taken on a Tough Mudder not a round of golf. In addition to terrible drainage, the fact I played on a Sunday morning clearly is the reason for the amount of tree and post wind/rain debris that litters the course (two holes in particular made driving the fairway impossible).
With so many really good courses around Hampton Roads this one is my least favorite (and not the cheapest to play). It's highly unlikely that I will be back to play this one again.
Oh and the layout is confusing, all in all though if this course was better maintained it probably wouldn't be a bad course to play.

Very rough conditions
Course is not taken care of very well. Fairways are brutal.

Best bang for your Buck! Hurry
Greens were in great shape for the time of year, played as a single early Saturday morning, staff was very friendly but said the course will be closing permanently in September. Course slightly flat with small t boxes and lots of noise from Jets flying over, but I didn't mind for the price and great nature views. Overall, a fun, family friendly and relatively easy course to play. Hurry and book a t time before it closes for good!

Got a cheap round. Course was ok shape. Slow play.

Warm and Windy
Par 70 short course. Greens were well maintained but too many leaves on the course. Lost four balls on the first four holes. More than made up for it on the 7th ( we started on the 10th) when a resident beckoned me to his property and gave me a plastic bag with 20 balls. I was very appreciative but also realized that clearly I was not the only one losing balls on this course.
I would return during warmer weather

No starter
Slooooow play. Single golfers not put with 2 0r 3 other golfer to maintain Speed of play. Is basicly free for all no starter or marshal pushing the speed of play. Wait time is 7 to 12 minutes per shot. Do not go unless you ha 5-6 hours to blow on a Sunday. My tee time was 1010 I finished at 245 and only completed 14 holes.
