Poor Course
Greens and fairways were awful, cart paths too rough, and our cart died on hole 14. So bad we decided to skip the last four holes.
Great Value
Look this is a decent Muni design, has some easy holes and some more difficult holes. They are going to close and renovate next year, and it will be like a new course when it reopens. There are places around the course now that could use some maintenance, but they seem to keep it OK.
Except the bunkers. The fees are really cheap before the renovation, it’s truly a bargain. And the staff seem pretty nice and helpful.
I’m looking forward to the renovation. Im glad VB is willing to invest in affordable golf.

Bow Creek has been the best course I've played since being in Norfolk! The course is a municipal course so understand that. The staff is great! The weather was perfect and it was a great day on the links! Don't delay, play here today!
Nice practice course. Tee boxes are little rough but the greens are in great condition. Don't hit into sand trap because they are filled with water. Good course for walking if your into that.

A Beautiful Fall Day
A beautiful day to play golf. High 50's, just enough wind, sunny, trees turning color. The greens were perfect, still enough green grass in the fairways, and despite all the recent rain, the course was not soggy at all. The only complaint that I might of had was the bunkers had not had water pumped out. Perfect conditions for middle November.

Hope the course stay in business
Come to Norfolk to visit our son, found this course on TeeOff, we did not have high expectation since the rate is low. Both my wife and myself are pleasantly surprised that the course is in good condition, staff is helpful. We will come back again. Heart that the course maybe closed soon, this is a shame. We hope the course stay open.
Good intermediate golf course
Nicely laid out intermediate golf course, that still presents its challenges. A few narrowing fairways and some blind tee shots keeps you on your toes. It was a little wet out there when I went, so some of the bunkers had some water in them, but the greens were in great condition and rolled smooth. You could tell if it was dry out there those greens would be real fast. Look forward to playing it again.
Sad goodbye
Was informed by pro shop that the course is closing. It’s a fun and challenging course with tough distances on some of the par threes and off the tee box for the driver. I have always enjoyed this course and I’m sorry to see it go
