Busy course.
Was busy with many golfers. Group in front were hitting 3 balls, while we waited and watched them. People not wearing shoes & t shirts.
Beautiful course
Bidwell is a beautiful golf course. It sits in the middle of Bidwell Park (featured in the original Robin Hood). Deer will accompany you as you play -- in fact they don't even move when you tee off. Club house staff was well organized and we got out on time. The greens and fairways are well maintained. However, the course was crowded (Sunday afternoon) and they were lacking in marshall services. The foursome two in front of us was hitting three balls each and, of course, backing everyone up on the course. No marshalls were seen to take care of this.
Great course for the money
Conditions are pretty good and improving since ownership change. Great course layout especially like the back 9. The wildlife on the course is awesome. Turkey, dove, quail, waterfowl and lots of big bucks. Really cool.
Price was good for 18
Couldn't beat the price for 18. $19. It was very busy. Lot's of golfers. With that said, the group in front of us hit 3 balls, a person. They did this at least 3 times when we were waiting behind them. I think inconsiderate for the busyiness of the course. Saw people playing with no shoes, t shirts..
The course saw $ and not quality.
Nice layout but beat up.
Peaceful course with alot of wildlife (we came within 10 yards of a group of bucks and does with their yearlings). Very rough unpaved cart paths, tee boxes were very beat up, and fairways had alot of wet and muddy spots. Greens were nice with challenging hole placements. Pro shop was freindly and helpful. We paid $9 per player for 18 holes and a cart (Great Deal through GolfNow).
This course is very well maintained .
We all had a great time playing there! A great course for the price. The only drawback is that there is no alcohol allowed on the course!!! I like to have a few beers or cocktails when I'm playing golf!!!
When in Chico this is a good muni to play, but don't expect any major frills
Enjoyed the round, course was in decent shape and cost was reasonable.
great course for and vaule really beautifull setting in the foothills of Bidwell park
Very enjoyable course in a beautiful setting. Lots of wild life on around the course made the course a very pleasant 18 holes. This municipal course is a hidden jewel in the chico area.
Great Fun, Especially for the price.
Chico is already a great place, but with the flaming hot deal for $19 per person, it was more than worth the value to play here. This is a wonderful course nestled in Bidwell Park....a place I've always gone to relax, so why not play golf there? The course was in great shape, the staff was super firendly. If I still lived in Chico, I'd be a member there.
Nice Park Setting
Never played here before now, end of July, but course in good condition despite the heat! Lots of wildlife which is kind of cool. The course does have some "secrets" that we were made aware of with our playing partner, which was nice. Nothing super critical though. My birthday present from my son who lives in Chico and I do not. Will play again, thank goodness for the trees (shade).
Another great day at BIDWELL
Great course with lots of shade, well kept up and a very nice setting
Walk in a park
Always a beautiful course and very well maintained. Just wish play was quicker here. A little frustrating waiting on most holes to tee off.
Gotta be one of the best Muni's in the US.
Beautifully carved from the foothills in Chico's east side, Bidwell offers a challenging course that winds over and around a river and among many deer.
this course is great
I love playing this course its open and beautiful scenery. Deers just walking around and it looks nice.
Scenic course and great value
Have played here twice and really enjoyed it. All the holes are pretty easy, but there's enough variation to feel you're never playing the same hole twice. Can't beat an 18-hole round with cart on the weekend for under $25.
All around a very enjoyable course.
Good variety in types of holes. Really enjoyed seeing the deer, geese, and turkey that roamed the course.
Course in good shape.
Nice course and we got a good price. Greens roll nice. Some thin spots around the course but overall in good shape.
A challenging course with interesting holes.
I have enjoyed this course on several different occasions and I will definitely play it again. The fairways and greens are in very good shape.
Nothing fancy but a fun, challenging course.
My friends and I enjoyed this course set in a city park in Chico. Quiet surroundings, friendly people and the challenge of the course led to a good time.
Well placed drives are required to reach the corners of some of the par 4's. The greens were smooth and well-maintained so that an on-line putt normally led to a holed putt.
had a great time
The course is in good shape and because of the threat of rain there was no one there
