Located less than an hour from Seattle in Lakewood, Oakbrook Golf Club is one of the area's hidden gems. Opened in 1966 as a private club, the course opened its doors to the public in 2012. The course is known for its smooth, firm, and fast greens. The 6,700-yard layout plays both narrow and long but it is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. With hundreds of mature oak trees scattered throughout the course, accuracy is key. It's a course that rewards strategy rather than raw skill. One of Oakbrook Golf Club's toughest holes is the par-4 seventh, which you'll have to play from below since it's sloped steeply from top to bottom. The downhill shots and doglegs will put golfers of any skill level to the test.

Wonderful scenery course
The design and qualities of the fair and green were very nice. But the price with a cart seemed to be higher comparatively.
Course well kept
Course was in great condition. Got a deal through an app for a discounted rate. No beverage cart as far as we saw. Practice area was in good shape. Pace of play was pretty good for a weekend, didn't have ti wait until about hole 14 and we were just a two man so we were playing fast.
Good Times
Nestled in a little grove just off the urban path Oakbrook offers a high quality track at reasonable pricing for the area. It looks like it could get pretty busy so be early for your tee times. The course was pure when I played from tee to green. Funny for this time of year, some of the tough was really high. The greens are just tricky enough to mess you up. I found it to be both entraining and frustrating at times…I prefer undulating breaks these are mostly flat board breaks…that being said practice facility was pretty good but I did not see a chipping green. Pace of play was right on 4 hours walking and the food and beverage happy hour is worth some consideration. This track is straightforward with very few forced carry’s so go have fun!!

Fun round of golf
First time playing this course and it was lots of fun.
Don’t play on the weekend
I play Oakbrook quite a bit, a minimum of two or three weekdays a month.
Had some free time Saturday afternoon and got a great deal so gave it a try on a weekend… Big mistake
I followed a fivesome for six holes… Finally gave up and passed them skipping seven and eight…. As I did I noticed the foursome In front of them was playing out of three bags…. Played nine and headed home skipping the back nine because the 15 minute weights on every Teebox just weren’t worth it
The membership on this course is very entitled and the ownership knows it but won’t do anything about it. I expected a slow round on a Saturday afternoon but there’s no reason for fivesomes On a course anytime
Always a pleasant experience!
Staff and members are always pleasant. Starter ensures pace of play is fair. Course is always in beautiful condition, tons of deer!
8am shotgun start for a 8:15 tee time?
Course was great and conditions beautiful. Hectic start to the round as when arriving early thank goodness was made aware that our tee time was 15 minutes earlier and was a shotgun start. Not sure I would have booked if knowing that and definitely would have arrived earlier so I could have rolled some outs first. Also no water filling up anywhere on the course. Was told I could try filling up my bottle in the sink or buy?
