Located less than an hour from Seattle in Lakewood, Oakbrook Golf Club is one of the area's hidden gems. Opened in 1966 as a private club, the course opened its doors to the public in 2012. The course is known for its smooth, firm, and fast greens. The 6,700-yard layout plays both narrow and long but it is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. With hundreds of mature oak trees scattered throughout the course, accuracy is key. It's a course that rewards strategy rather than raw skill. One of Oakbrook Golf Club's toughest holes is the par-4 seventh, which you'll have to play from below since it's sloped steeply from top to bottom. The downhill shots and doglegs will put golfers of any skill level to the test.

Fun round of golf
First time playing this course and it was lots of fun.
Don’t play on the weekend
I play Oakbrook quite a bit, a minimum of two or three weekdays a month.
Had some free time Saturday afternoon and got a great deal so gave it a try on a weekend… Big mistake
I followed a fivesome for six holes… Finally gave up and passed them skipping seven and eight…. As I did I noticed the foursome In front of them was playing out of three bags…. Played nine and headed home skipping the back nine because the 15 minute weights on every Teebox just weren’t worth it
The membership on this course is very entitled and the ownership knows it but won’t do anything about it. I expected a slow round on a Saturday afternoon but there’s no reason for fivesomes On a course anytime
Always a pleasant experience!
Staff and members are always pleasant. Starter ensures pace of play is fair. Course is always in beautiful condition, tons of deer!
8am shotgun start for a 8:15 tee time?
Course was great and conditions beautiful. Hectic start to the round as when arriving early thank goodness was made aware that our tee time was 15 minutes earlier and was a shotgun start. Not sure I would have booked if knowing that and definitely would have arrived earlier so I could have rolled some outs first. Also no water filling up anywhere on the course. Was told I could try filling up my bottle in the sink or buy?
Good, but…
Our group were out of town visitors and needed rentals. By far the worst rentals I have ever had to pay for. Brands (mixed) I have never heard of, super old, no balls or tees, I can’t believe they brought them out with a straight face…
Beautiful, wide fairways!
What about the bunkers. Beautiful fairways and unkept bunkers. ??

This course is a 4 hour slice of tranquility. Not too long, but challenging & engaging enough from the tips to be worth more than the price you’ve payed. Played this course twice and have recommended to over 10 buddies. The drive from South Seattle is the only reason I don’t visit biweekly. Keep up the solid work grounds crew‼️
Not worth the money
Overall course layout is confusing for newcomers, especially back 9. Residents on course are unwelcoming and god forbid you hit a ball slightly out of the fairway. Staff is friendly, but interactions were awkward as a first-time player. Couldn’t even finish back 18 due to slow pace. Fairways were short and consistently dog-tailed creating a course that was challenging for average golfers. Would not recommend for your day-to-day players. 10/10 waste of money and will not be returning for a second round.
Challenging but fair.
Staff was great. Seemed to have a lot of regulars and members playing. Very busy but good pace. An old course but well maintained. Enjoyed playing.
Great course
My wife and I really enjoyed this course. They do a great job with differentiating the tee boxes, makes for a much more enjoyable round! The staff was awesome.
