Prairie Woods Golf Course tumbles across some of Wisconsin's most rolling terrain. On almost any point on the course, whether you're standing on the tees, the fairways, or the greens, the undulating landscape will put your skills of perception to the test. The golf course offers plenty of variety with a unique design on each hole. The rolling hills determined the strategic placement of the bunkers and there are water hazards coming into play on several holes. It's a layout that will keep you on your toes and reward a well thought-out shot, but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. The golf course is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees but the changes in elevation can make it feel longer. Besides being one of the most unique rounds in the area, Prairie Woods G.C. is also one of the most affordable.

excellent course
Very nice course surrounded partly by a corn field:). The ambiance on the back nine was serene. We even had a deer pop into the fairway as we were about to tee off! Granted it was a Friday afternoon/evening, $20 for 18 holes/riding is a steal. We visited the clubhouse on the turn for some snacks, and the place was packed for their Friday fish fry. Of course, we didn't have time for that, but definitely in the plans for an upcoming Friday!
Enjoyed the staff and course
I met a friend as this was a halfway place between us I traveled over 60 miles and will do so again. The greens are tough.
Challenging short course
Many of the holes are short but doglegs and well placed hazards force you to make tough club selections. An excellent course to work on your draws and fades. Greens rolled beautifully. Also the complimentary range balls make it worth showing up an hour early. Enjoy!

Good course for all levels of players.
This is a very beautiful course with good scenic views with the woods and rolling hills, and kept in very good condition.
Keep your drives in the fairway to avoid getting balls lost among the trees. Just enough deep grass and rough to offer a challenge for all of us.

This course has a well kept fairways and greens. It is nice that a warm up driving range is included.greens.
Course has some variety to it...
The course is in great shape and offers a nice change from somewhat easy holes to a few that are very challenging. Greens are in very good shape right now.
Harder than I thought.
I have played it a few times before. Have a new appreciation for the course. Lots of slopes on the greens.
Enjoyable
I would recommend this course enthusiastically! Beautiful course and a great setting. The hilly terrain made it challenging with a nice mix of longer and short holes.

Course was in very good condition for the time of year,
