Prairie Woods Golf Course
About
Prairie Woods Golf Course tumbles across some of Wisconsin's most rolling terrain. On almost any point on the course, whether you're standing on the tees, the fairways, or the greens, the undulating landscape will put your skills of perception to the test. The golf course offers plenty of variety with a unique design on each hole. The rolling hills determined the strategic placement of the bunkers and there are water hazards coming into play on several holes. It's a layout that will keep you on your toes and reward a well thought-out shot, but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. The golf course is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees but the changes in elevation can make it feel longer. Besides being one of the most unique rounds in the area, Prairie Woods G.C. is also one of the most affordable.

Fun and challenging
I would play this course again for sure!the course is beautiful! The staff is friendly and courteous. The setting is relaxing and off of the busy road. It is a refreshing and enjoyable place for all levels of golf!
VERY INTERSTING COURSE!
1st time playing this course. It has some very interesting holes. Very challenging. There are allot of risk and reward holes - which I like! I would recommend this course to ANY player!
nice country course
was memorial day weekend so they were very busy. Very nice course, will definitely play it again
Fine tuning
fun golf course, there are some good holes. Greens are inconsistent, with respect to speed. Ball marks everywhere. Seems like a top dressing or two would help. Tee boxes are uneven. They need to be leveled. Rough is thick. Fairways are fine. Greens and tees need some work
Prairie woods golf
Course in great shape beautiful day to golf, was not happy to see kick ball out on course same time as golfers
nice layout
played for the first time greens dry but nice staff was great! will play this course more now as I think I will play it better next time>
I love this course!!
My brother in law recommended this course. I absolutely loved this course. Don't let the short yardage fool you. The layout is challenging, the course is in excellent condition, the staff (outside and inside) are extremely polite and helpful. The course is quiet and peaceful. The only sounds you hear are birds and wildlife and the occasional echo of a ball careening off a tree (there are lots of them to hit if you are not careful). This course should be named Pleasant Acres because that describes it to a tee (ha ha, see what I did there?) 19th hole bartender was engaging and friendly. She was knowledgeable about the area and let me have a taster (of an unknown to me) beer. I recommend the 312 brand. The kid at the end was smiling and helpful as well.
Good course in the middle of nowhere
Great course despite high winds.
Value at its best.
Fun course to Average Players.
Its a short course. Lots of chances to birdie all day. Good shape. Greens in good shape. Easy course to play. Not difficult at all. The back nine gives u a different look. But the back from the blue tees your less thsn 75 yards to the green. For a golf now .com buy its great but to pay course price NOT worth it. If ur a long ball hitter like our party u need a 5 wood or 3 iron off the box. Friendly and very nice club house. I would do it again for my short game.
Nice short course
Tough greens make up for the short par 4s. Rough a bit too long. Had a late Saturday afternoon tee time so we thought we'd be able to cruise thru the course. Instead, we were waiting at every tee box. Not sure if it was bad tee time spacing or several slow groups ahead of us. Ended up just stopping after 13 holes as it was already 3 hr. 35min
Will play again though
Expensive cocktails also
very scenic
very scenic short course. Greens were very firm and fast. well cared for, in good condition. clubhouse clean with good ambiance, staff friendly. practice facilities good. downside is location
Great value course!
We had an amazing round on this course. The staff was very friendly and asked if there was anymore that they could do. The course was very wet due to rain the previous night but, very receptive to quality shots. All in all a great value.
Fun course in the country
This course is a fun course to play where some holes really challenge you. Good value.
Awesome
The course was in excellent shape the pace of play was great. It was just the two of use and it wasn't until the 18th hole did we ever have to wait to tee off. Great spacing of time for tee times. I hope to get to play this course again.
Can chalange all abilities
First time playing here. It was a pleasure from the check in at the pro shop to the AW-SUM Rubin Sandwich after play.
Club selection is key to the many Dogleg holes, Narrow Fairways and tough par 3s. (I have a mental block on par 3s)
I will be back soon!
Prairie Woods
This course is fun to play, I will definitely use golfnow again to play here again.
plays longer than noted yardage
I've played this course a few times and always enjoy it...plays much longer than the 6000 listed on the card...forced layups and very undulating greens located on rises/hills help make up for the lack of distance. The par 3 are the stars of the course.
excellent course
Very nice course surrounded partly by a corn field:). The ambiance on the back nine was serene. We even had a deer pop into the fairway as we were about to tee off! Granted it was a Friday afternoon/evening, $20 for 18 holes/riding is a steal. We visited the clubhouse on the turn for some snacks, and the place was packed for their Friday fish fry. Of course, we didn't have time for that, but definitely in the plans for an upcoming Friday!
Enjoyed the staff and course
I met a friend as this was a halfway place between us I traveled over 60 miles and will do so again. The greens are tough.
