About
Prairie Woods Golf Course tumbles across some of Wisconsin's most rolling terrain. On almost any point on the course, whether you're standing on the tees, the fairways, or the greens, the undulating landscape will put your skills of perception to the test. The golf course offers plenty of variety with a unique design on each hole. The rolling hills determined the strategic placement of the bunkers and there are water hazards coming into play on several holes. It's a layout that will keep you on your toes and reward a well thought-out shot, but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. The golf course is just over 6,000 yards from the back tees but the changes in elevation can make it feel longer. Besides being one of the most unique rounds in the area, Prairie Woods G.C. is also one of the most affordable.

Tight course
Tight course, some holes are pretty close to the next tee box
First time.
Very nice course with practice holes. Front 9 is very scenic.
The score surprised me. Flat land behind it, around it and next to it but this golf course has been built in such a beautiful way with Rolling Hills Water and trees not terribly in the way. The views are spectacular the course itself is in the immaculate condition. I will play this course many times in the future. I just found it last week. This is one of the best courses in the area.

Enjoyed it
Both times we played were very enjoyable. We liked the layout, variety of holes, and the greens were the best we have played on for this time of year. We have played 7 others this spring. Nice course and operation!
good to be out of the house again
Course was in great shape, With quarantine restrictions just being lifted a few days earlier the course was extremely busy, filled with a lot of people who were looking just to get outside.

This course is fun to play!
This course is fun to play. I was a member for 2 years (changed to a course closer to home.. over 1 hour drive). I always enjoyed playing PW and the staff was always great. While not long, this course demands thought. I would definitely recommend PW.
Front 9
Got the last tee time of the day so just got to play the front 9. Very fun holes and can’t wait to get back to play a full round of golf!
Fair
#6 Blue tee box had over hanging tree branch impeding entire swing. Almost Snapped driver shaft on follow through, was not happy. I’d say 80% of course needs to be re-evaluated .
Pleasant surprise
Had never heard of this course before seeing it yesterday on golf now. Two of us played 18 holes in 3 and a half hours. Lots of dog legs calling for accurate tee shots. Very enjoyable round. Will definitely play again.
