Golfer Reviews
Saturday round
No cart beverages person on course for Saturday, go into the turn, ordered food from cart to pick up, no one in bar, food service area, waited for 7-10 min, said forget it! Had a group playing in front we caught on 8th hole, and they were drinking more than they wanted to play golf!,
TGC @ Copper Valley - A Great Experience!
This was my first time playing Copper Valley and I was very impressed. Your first impression is a good one as you walk into a very nice clubhouse/lobby and it only gets better from there. The staff were friendly and set us on our way to the practice range where you have complimentary balls to hit (on grass) as you warm up prior to your tee time. The carts were included with our fee and came with GPS so we knew approximate distances from our ball to the hole. The carts had ball washers, club washers, bluetooth (if you wanted to play music) and a cooler for ice/drinks. Very nice touch!
The course itself was absolutely gorgeous. It was a beautiful drive and there are some very great visuals on some holes where you have downhill shots. The course had aerated their greens earlier in the week, but honestly the greens were not bad at all! We never had any crazy action when putting and honestly on some holes I had forgotten they even did the aeration. They did a great job in that regard. Pace of play lagged a little at times due to a slow group in front of us (taking multiple practice swings, taking forever to read greens, etc.), but that was the only blemish on the day.
We ate at the restaurant after the round and the food was delicious. Their beer-battered fries are insanely good and the eagle burger and crispy chicken sandwich we ordered came out piping hot and everyone enjoyed their food.
I would absolutely return to this course again. It was a great experience from start to finish.
Punched & sandy greens
It should be declared on golf now or any other service used to book T times. I love the course , but I wasn’t happy with driving nearly 45 minutes to put upon sand. And the sand traps need a lot of work for sure. It’s time to spend some money on the sand traps to go along with the wonderful course layout.
The course was closed
My 1pm tee time was active on golf now yet you were closed for sanding the greens and of course you website did not tell me that.
Except for the sand traps
Because I couldn’t keep out of some of the traps, I found them to be in less that what you would expect for a course of this caliber.
Course is awesome. Played it back in February of last year it was great then and even better now. Pro shop staff is great. Very friendly made you feel welcomed. Only complaint is that I wish I would have played better but there’s always next time. Highly recommended golf course. Came from Elk Grove but we’ll worth the hour 20 drive to get there. Thanks for having us copper valley
the price I payed was $50 not the $100 as golf now is marked at
Fantastic course, a bit over watered
Thoroughly enjoyed this course. Played for the first time yesterday. The course has a fun, challenging layout with lots of water, bunkers, dog legs, and elevation. Tees and greens were in excellent shape. The fairways however were overwatered in several places, and several of the bunkers need attention. Overall, a great course for the price. I will definitely be back
Beautiful Course
I love this course but it’s hit and miss with fairway conditions. It’s either perfect or overwatered andI don’t understand that. Way too much water. Fairways were so wet cart would sink or most of it was soggy and ruts from carts.
Nice course, decent weather. Can’t be bad!
The course had just been aerated, which caused us some issues - really slow greens.
Several of the fairways have large really wet spots. Our golf balls vanished from sight in the fairways a few times and roll after hitting drives was minimal within these wet areas. It beats hitting off of hard pan, but it frustrates just as much.
