Golfer Reviews
Water, water everywhere
Almost every review mentions how wet the course is. Absolutely right. I discussed this issue with the starter and he said the fractured rock soil made so much water necessary. I understand his point but still believe they overdo it. I doubt I hit more than 5 or 6 shots all day that didn't come up muddy. I really think the greenskeeper could do a better job of calibrating water use.
That said, this is probably the best non-coastal public course in Northern California. Terrific layout. Great variety. Good greens.
Nice course, bunkers need some more sand
Bunkers have very little to no sand, some have pieces of the fiber sticking out of the bunkers. some are unplayable, need to be redone.
Love this course
Great track. The only knock on the course today is that the fairways were waterlogged.
Golf at Copper
Great times. The course was pretty wet but I would have rather had a wet course than a dried up dead course. Pretty hard to have it perfect when the temperature is running in or near the 100s. Pace of play was real fast. No one in front or behind. Our own lousy shots here and there was the only thing holding us up. Less than a 3 1/2 hour round.
Review
Outstanding course. I think this is my favorite by far. They need to add some sand to the bunkers.
Gem in the middle of Nowhere.
The course was a delight to play with generous fairways and interesting undulating greens. The course was in good shape and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely go back to play again and recommend to my friends.
