Inniscrone Golf Club

I have played 30+ rounds here over the years. I love the layout! Have played in a lot of different conditions. Today was my first time in 2 years. Hopefully the recent reviews were correct compared to reviews from a month ago. They are.

Inniscrone has always had some spots that just don’t get the sunlight they need to grow grass and some areas that don’t drain well. I found the course very playable and in ok overall shape. There was 1 green that was shaggy, but most ran fast once some drying occurred,

They continue to make the course easier. More bunkers are being turned into grass bunkers. The traps that had sand in them hadn’t been tended too in a while. The 2 new grass bunkers I noticed are on both sites of the green on the par 5 15th. I understand softening the course for the average player, but I’ll just have to. “remember when”. The rough was high today in most places. Had to be on top of your ball to find it most of the time. I definitely look forward to playing again and do recommend inniscrone .

Grandson 10 wanted to play for his birthday so my son and my wife booked Inniscrone.

Around hole 4 it poured for 30 minutes and the course got waterlogged so greens were tough.

Rough was quite high and tough to find wayward balls.

Some of the holes are quirky and you have to play the course at least once to know where and how far to hit off tees.

Bunkers are very poor and many are grassed over.

Grandson enjoyed and we would probably play again.

Great course for the money,. It is in great shape for this time of year (summer months). I enjoy the scenery of this course. and It can be challenging as my golf partner said if you can golf well here you can golf well anywhere.

The course has greatly improved the sand in the sand traps making it much better to play from when necessary I almost wanna hit one in the trap

Course in pretty good shape. It was playing two different courses. The front was good, the back nine was tough. The back nine had hills, traps and marsh. You need good distance on the back to score.

It appeared that some of the traps were under going changes,, either grass bunkers or unknown.

If I play next time, I will now know what to consider.

A wonderful course especially if you enjoy thinking your way around. Not just grip it and rip it, you need to place balls off the tee to have the best approach to the greens. Some holes are wide open just let it fly while most have very specific landing areas. Some blind tee shots, some blind approach shots depending on your tee shot. Some of the greens do not see as much sun as they need, seem a bit swampy, others have some damage. No major issues with the greens, but could use some TLC. I have the pleasure to meet some of the course staff and can tell you that they are all extremely friendly helpful and enjoy doing what they do from check-in to snack at the turn, to the course superintendent. All wonderful people.

We've been regular players here over the years. What once was a gem of a course is no longer being maintained to acceptable levels. Every aspect of maintenance and course conditions are atrocious right now. To go into specifics would take far too long. If it is a money issue, I hope that some funds are pumped back into the course to make it worthy again. If its just a negligence issue, that's a real shame. No one is using the practice putting green as it hasn't been mowed in ages. Maybe some other owner will come around and restore this course as it would be a real shame to see it go under. I've always enjoyed playing here but will not return until I know things have vastly improved.

Very welcoming staff. Course is overall ok shape but somethings need serious attention. Tee boxes need to be mowed and rolled. 12th green needs to be totally rebuilt. Flag placements should be moved more often to avoid wear and spike marks. Bunkers need white sand not playground sand.

This could be a gem of a public course with a little bit of investment.

The course layout is nice but the greens were very shaggy on a number of holes and the ball just wobbled whenever we had to putt. The sand traps were an absolute disaster. It is nice layout but right now is being poorly maintained.

I am a Beginner who happens to play often as possible. I played this course for the first time and found it to be challenging for a golfers who have more skill than me. I left the course wanting to play it again. I fill like I owe this course a better game.

I golf at Inniscrone often and every time I was there I noticed the ground crew was out in force and it shows.. I believe every trap now has sand, the greens are much improved. Great job to the ground crew and management for turning this course around.

As always- great course. Tee boxes need a little love but the fairways and greens are in excellent shape. Great job guys.

They need to cut the grass around the fairways. The greens were in pretty bad shape. Dry spots, craters. Multiple ball marks. It just isnr well maintained. I would compare it to Patriots Glen in Elkton. It was just bad. No rangers moving things along. No starter. Pace was slow. Bottle necked. Get people out there to manage the game! Especially on the weekend.
