About
Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale is one of the toughest public courses in the area. It is a formidable challenge to say the least, but an enjoyable one. None of the holes run parallel to each other and no two holes are alike either. The greens have quite a bit of variation from one to the next but mostly they are very large and extremely fast. Although the greens only have mild contouring, the rippling landscape still provides plenty of challenges throughout. Strategically placed bunkers perfectly complement the dramatic elevation changes, ranging from pot bunkers to vast expanses of sand. Inniscrone Golf Club's ninth hole is a memorable one since it encapsulates the course's appeal with a ridge of cross-bunkers just off the tee and even more along the left side.

Great Round
Course is looking good and very scenic. I like the renovations with the new sand in front 9 traps. Some sand traps are still under renovation. Greens are improving.too..
Great Course
Any course that offers a Jameson Shot with your morning coffee and has the Bloody Mary’s and hotdogs ready at breakfast has to be good. The fairways were in great shape the greens were rolling but could improve. Overall the layout and conditions were outstanding. Fun course to play and I will play again.

Returned to play 15 years later
Much has changed in 15 years but I still remember Hole #10 a interesting layer out hole. Course has its issues. Not sure what they are doing with bunkers, I think they are growing most of them in. Some greens are spotty and tee boxes are in fairly good shape. Overall good course for the money and the hour drive to play something different that flat South NJ.

Dissappointed
I’ve played this course a few times many years ago and recall enjoying it a lot. The conditions today were poor: greens are rough, teees are tougher, a number of bunkers are being grassed in (no ground under repair markings), and many more, bunkers have clearly not seen attention in a long time. This was once a nice course, it is in disrepair now.

Course has seen better days
Didn’t look like the staff aerated the greens, black dead spots in the greens, tons of divots, and doesnt look like the greens have been cut or rolled in a while, bunkers are only sand on first and last hole, the rest are dirt clay with some having piles of rocks, it’s a shame, the layout of the course is great but just doesn’t seem it is getting the care it should

Sunday Funday
Course needs sand in bunkers and spend money to maintain them rather than growing them out. Greens need to be rolled better. Holes near homes are well kept but interior holes not so much. Tee boxes and pin placement need to be rotated daily.

Amazing find while in town!
Booked this last minute and was extremely pleased. Everything from the clubhouse to 18 was wonderful. Got a good cigar, course polo shirt for $15, and shot 85, so it was a great day! Course looked amazing. Challenging, but worth every frustration haha. I can’t wait to return and play another round.

Hope things improve
We've played many rounds at Inniscrone over the past few years. It's a challenging layout that can test the best of golfers. Unfortunately, the course is in poor condition right now. The greens have bare spots all over and don't roll like they used to. The traps are mud or completely unraked messes. I sure hope that they will get things in better shape for future play and it's not a sign of further trouble. This is too good a course to be kept like this.

Great course for what you pay. The greens could use some work but it’s early in the season so that’s not a big deal. Overall it’s a good time.
