About
Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale is one of the toughest public courses in the area. It is a formidable challenge to say the least, but an enjoyable one. None of the holes run parallel to each other and no two holes are alike either. The greens have quite a bit of variation from one to the next but mostly they are very large and extremely fast. Although the greens only have mild contouring, the rippling landscape still provides plenty of challenges throughout. Strategically placed bunkers perfectly complement the dramatic elevation changes, ranging from pot bunkers to vast expanses of sand. Inniscrone Golf Club's ninth hole is a memorable one since it encapsulates the course's appeal with a ridge of cross-bunkers just off the tee and even more along the left side.

End of year round
Tee boxes and the greens are a little beat up, but I guess it’s because it’s the end of the season. Overall, nice course.
clubhouse is pretty and people operating course nice enough but it was slow and greens not in good condition

I hope it’s not like this all the time..
The tee boxes were mostly dirt, judging speed on the greens was pointless, and the rough was 6 inches deep with grass laying over. I get that it’s late in the season, but it looks like nothings been done to this course for weeks. No Rangers and the pace of play was awful. 2 1/2 hours on the front nine and we called it a day.

Comfortable and great value
At arrival, the cart I got was very clean and ready to use. I consider this cleaness very seriously because of
Covid-19 as I don't want to use contaminated cart at all. I also found the interval between flights at 15 min even more comforting as the opportunity to hit the crowds at check-in is very low. They even allow us to take a cart one each, which made it easier to meet friends. There are still more works to be done in the bunkers and some tee boxes. But I still prefer the safety and the comfort to the picture-perfect course at that price point. Yong.

ok but not great.
1: course was not maintained, green and sand traps are not maintained.
2. cancellation policy does not apply. its written that you can cancel 24 hours before your scheduled reservation to reimburse your booking deposit. but when you call them to cancel, they will tell you that it is non refundable.
A Big Red Flag for me.
Will stop playing there and will not recommend any of my family and friends to give them any business.

Decent
I played this course in Pa because the Maryland courses were shut down and I was very appreciative of the fact that they would accept a group of out of state guys wanting to play. So I booked my Tee time online and they charged me $20 which is fine but when I showed up for my Tee time the $20 charge didn’t get added towards my greens fee. Highway robbery!!! The course was fairly well maintained but the worst part of the day is the fact that the course sits directly next to a waste management plant. I can’t describe how bad the smell was coming from that facility all day. I believe it was hole 11 we skipped altogether because the smell was making us vomit. Me personally, I wouldn’t play this course again. But you can make your own decision.

Great Layout, but...
Ok, a cold and wet day, but agree with other comments that Tee boxes need some help. Sparse grass on several and with a light rain, muddy. The fall brings leaves, and with thus lost balls, even in the fairway are common. Nothing against the course, but come on guys, look for a minute or so then drop one. The three guys in front of us had to look for balls every hole! Layout is great, with nice elevation changes., challenging bunkering (ps, these need serious maintenance), and target greens. Staff suggested their blue tees are everyone’s white, but they are short. True, and after four holes I moved back. Overall, I relish a warmer day to play again.

October golf
Was a pretty nice course especially given the time of year. Pace was slow tho for being a cold day. Wish for the money there was a ranger to push pace a little and grounds crew blow leaves off the greens. Putting was very challenging. Would like to come play again more in season

I really love this couse layout and wish I lived closer. I'm not a scratch golfer and not very long off the tee but this course makes you use your head like a pro. Some holes driver is out of the question, and the short part 3 No 5 is also no gimmie, because long is dead!
We were fine until the turn - what is it about the turn that grinds the pace of play to a halt? Tee times are appropriately far apart, but still a back up> The course was not even that crowded, but when I teed off there were 2 groups backed up on 10, and when I finished 9 there was the same log jam. ??? The pace on the back must be glacial when the course is crowded.

Private Course
How unusual is it to find you have a course to yourself on a beautiful day and the course is not private, but public! That was the case today when we teed off at 8:00AM with only one group ahead of us and the next group was scheduled to Tee Off a half an hour later. The course was in extremely good condition with carpeted fairways, most tee boxes in very good condition and only a small amount of blight on the greens.

We found the course to be in unplayable conditions on multiple holes. There was standing water on several greens. We found holes with sprinklers just pouring water on the course.
Bunkers looked like they haven’t received any attention in weeks or more. I realize that with covid, rakes aren’t going to be out there but the bunkers used to be a beautiful aesthetic and significant part of the course design but not in their current condition. I get it, they’re incredibly labor intensive and costly to maintain and a lot of businesses are hurting in the pandemic.
Not necessarily the club’s fault but no one seemed to be fixing ball marks on the greens. We fixed as many as we could on a lot of greens but it seemed like no effort was being made here for a while and it’s a shame because it really affects play and already takes a lot of work to maintains greens.
The course layout was disappointing, particularly compared to the other Hanse designs in the area. Obviously not going to change the layout and there are a few wonderfully designed holes on the course.
Pace of play seemed to get slower and slower throughout the round. Maybe that was partly a function of the conditions but 5+ hour rounds are frustrating.
The staff we interacted with were all friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Was a great fall day for golfing. Good value for a. course like this one. Only complaint was so many fall leaves on the greens.

Nice layout
Pace of play was very good for mid Saturday. The greens and bunkers were not in great shape, but that did not take away from the course.
