Inniscrone Golf Club
About
Inniscrone Golf Club in Avondale is one of the toughest public courses in the area. It is a formidable challenge to say the least, but an enjoyable one. None of the holes run parallel to each other and no two holes are alike either. The greens have quite a bit of variation from one to the next but mostly they are very large and extremely fast. Although the greens only have mild contouring, the rippling landscape still provides plenty of challenges throughout. Strategically placed bunkers perfectly complement the dramatic elevation changes, ranging from pot bunkers to vast expanses of sand. Inniscrone Golf Club's ninth hole is a memorable one since it encapsulates the course's appeal with a ridge of cross-bunkers just off the tee and even more along the left side.

Hole 13, back of the green Photo submitted by Edward3574350 on 12/20/2012
great value but certainly not as well cared for as it used to be
Inniscrone is an excellent course and boasts some of the toughest holes in the entire region. The course has always been maintained well since becoming a public facility. I always have enjoyed playing here and taking advantage of some of the great golf now deals for the course.
In today's round, I did notice the tee boxes were not cared for as well as in the past and the greens had tons of ball marks in them. I'm hopeful that the budget will allow the course to keep to past standards of grooming and today's condition was just an aberration. For 25 dollars for a round today, its still a fabulous deal but I'd sure like to see the course back in the same condition that it used to be.
The 17th hole at Inniscrone is still the toughest par 4 you'll ever play and if you like to challenge you'll have plenty to remember if you manage to make a par on it.
Don't bother
Course is not good.inconsistent greens, holes in the woods, the greens are slow and hairy. Holes in the open are faster and truer. Bunkers are in horrible shape, never raked, very little sand.
Rivals White Clay Creek as the dumbest designed course in the area. Will never play here again.
For the value of the green fee, this course is a home run. For the first week in May the course was in great condition, the greens were running very well. With a picturesque countryside landscape, it has a very nice visual appeal; with that in mind, some strategy is involved throughout the course to stay out of trouble.
Great value for a reasonable price
Course was in good shape and it is fun to play with the exception of a couple of holes (16 & 17) which border on being unfair to the amateur golfer.
Talk about deflategate ...No, not football, my ego!
I was quite impressed with the course, shame the course was:t impressed by me. Unless you hit it a ton fairly straight you:ll be better off from the green tees. Notice to the lost and found department, lost 1 of each, noodle (4th hole) Wilson & Nike (12th), 2 Titleist (15th ), Srixon and Callalway (17th), and 2 each Topflites, Maxflies , tayormade and 3 range balls on the 18th and that is just on the tee.Oh, and my self esteem somewhere on the back nine. But I:m putting it in my rotation and I'll be back and maybe I'll be walking as my bag is a lot lighter now. Note, don't even think about walking it. Great course for the price. Have at it and have fun looking for your "golf"balls.
Nice layout with challenging holes
The course was in great shape with the fairways and greens very nice. The greens weren't cut and were slow but you still had to read the breaks to make a putt. Course was challenging and in good shape. Beware the restricted flight balls on the driving range. Overall a good course and I enjoyed both times I played.
Rainey Round
Even though it rained the entire day the greens stayed
fast. Great drainage' Great staff
Hidden Gem
Great lay out. The cart path may be a little broken, but they spend the money where it counts. This course has the feel of courses that cost twice as much and is not nearly as crowded.. yet.
Nice Layout.
Too many ball marks on greens. Fixing is not part of the culture I guess. Otherwise well kept. Nice course architecture. Good variety of holes design. Very helpful staff.
Interesting course off the beaten path
Just happened to be in the area for an event with some time to kill. Never heard of Inniscrone before. Found it on Golf Now and had a great time. Nice course. Great people.
Very nice course
This is a very nice track and I always enjoy playing it. The staff is very friendly and the price is right. My only complaint is the inordinate number of unrepaired ball marks on the greens.
Golf with my sons
First time playing coarse. I came up from Florida to play a round of golf with my sons. Really nice coarse even with heavy rains the day before. Staff very friendly
Day of golf
Overall good experience at the course I think they need to put up hole locator s so that you aren't guessing which direction to go from hole to hole ! Would make for a better overall experience and keep things flowing properly ...
A challenging course. It would have been nice to ride off the cart paths as the fairways and rough were in good condition. Some very difficult holes. A very nice layout.
