Inniscrone Golf Club

Interesting and beautiful course. Course in great shape. Staff very friendly and helpful. Saved lost ball on 10th with recommended tee shot. Club house was fully stocked (beer, liquor, food) which was great for this time of year when most 19th holes have not opened yet. Should get interesting when reeds / grasses grow in during season. Definite must play.

Hard to evaluate due to course still dormant from winter, but overall in good shape.

Would play it again.

For December 30, the round was great. Course wet,
but Inniscrone drains well and the greens were as presentable as could be expected. A great layout, becoming more inviting for the average player every year. Even with all the rain, only 3 holes cart path only.

need straight shots, forced carries, tough course but fun

Inniscrone probably came online about the same time as Hartefeld National. Both were intended to be private clubs but there seems not to be the population density in the immediate area that would be required to support two private clubs so Inniscrone opened up for public players. This is a fortunate piece of real estate for golf design. The designer, Hanse, is talented and will be featured as the designer of the next Olympic course. There is a nice variety of golf holes including short one-shot propositions like number five and longer par holes 3 like the eighth. Similarly, there are good, short fours (number three for example) and excellent long 4s (like 9, 12 and 17). The par 5s are pretty, sweeping affairs and I like the medial bunker off 15 tee in particular. I also like how they kept the course mostly clear of distractions like housing and traffic. Even the parking lot is remote, though convenient since players pick up their carts (or they are transported by cart from the parking area. If this review appears twice, I apologize but my initial attempt seemed to drift away.

There is active hunting from the beginning of the 14th hole to the end of the 16th hole during hunting season. This includes both archery and rifle.
I would recommend not wearing anything brown and white. Don't know if the township and the course allows it or if its just poachers. The course itself is fantastic and a true gem in Chester County Pa.

Had a great time playing here on a beautiful November day. What more could we want? Pace of play was more than excellent.....no one in front of us and no one pushing us from behind the whole time. The staff did a great job keeping leaves off the fairway. We didn't have to use the "leaf rule" at all. The par 3 4th hole is still one of my only negatives to this course. It's too short to really take a full swing at with even a lob wedge! They should move the tee back and make it more challenging somehow. It was my 3rd time playing the course this year and conditions were great. Greens are always tough here, but fair! Will definitely be playing again here next year.....or even this year again if the weather stays warm.

Too many tee boxes. Usually 3 on each hole. They are not clearly marked. Get rid of the wooden markets. And way too many leaves all over fairways and greens.
Fall is not a good time to play this course.
Way to many trees. Cant find your ball even in the fairways.

My foursome and had a great time enjoyed our play at this course

Located in the rolling hills of southern PA. This course has so much character. It has seen better days, but the basic beauty and potential is still there. The tees and traps were a bit rough, but the fairways and greens were great. One of the staff in the pro shop was a bit cranky, but his counterpart went out of her way to try and counteract his attitude. Will definitely play this course again, but earlier in the year, when the weather is better.

Location is a bit out of the way for me from Philadelphia, but I will go back. The course is challenging, plenty of hills and valleys. Greens and fairways are well maintained. I would definitely recommend, great value for the price.

Holes are quite varied with large undulating traps
and difficult greens. Holes 16 and 17 have been changed since I played last making them much better. Hole 18 requires a 180 yard drive to carry the waste area.

Overall good public course. An hour from Philly, which is a little too far for me to play on a regular basis. Some tricky fairways and putting greens. The fairway past the rough on the 18th is farther than it appears. You need a straight and far tee off in order to play it!

Drove from philly. About an hour. Fairways a little patchy. Greens were nice although the Monday pin placements were not for the faint of heart. One of the few places I've been where all the staff members seemed genuinely nice. But I guess that's how people are outside of philly.

I enjoyed this course very much. Course played longer than expected with a few forced carry.

Very tough course. rough is very high. very easy to lose balls. greens were also pretty slow

Course was in very good condition, despite the recent bout of dry weather. Saw a few bare spots here and there, but none of those were really in positions a player should be in. Greens were in excellent shape. Four sets of men's tees gives you an option to play up on certain holes to avoid carries. Some nice par 5's that required three shots to reach the green. Looking forward to a return trip.

Good track the greens could be a little faster but nice layout. If the course was in its peak condition would be a must play

I played 18 hole with my oldest son(25) and we had a great time.The course was in very good shape and the staff was great...Although there wasnt a 19th hole they did have draft and can beer at reasonable prices..Our greens fee through golfnow were only $21.00 for a 7.:30am tee time...I would recommend this course to my friends and we will be playing there more offen..

I played here last October with a different partner and raved about the condition of this course,so much so that I invited another friend of mine to play here. I don't know what happened to this course but the rough was at least 6 inches high on the front nine,the tee boxes were soft and quite torn up.I was embarrassed because I told my partner just how nice it was when I last played here.We lost 5 balls within the 1st 2 holes.We did find one but it was only because we stepped on it otherwise we would have lost 6. It was better on the back nine and we did see some grounds people working. I hope that they get their act together because we had fought early morning rush hour( about 2 hours driving time for each of us) just to play the gem that had been implanted in my mind. I'll give the course another chance but ,it won't be until at least mid October once the grass growing season subsides. There are lots of courses in much better condition nearby and in N.J. and within a 50 mile radius of Phila.
