Inniscrone Golf Club

This course has a difficult layout. Plays much longer than the length and it's target golf. Last few holes you have to clear 200 yards on your drive. And Small greens. Nice pratice putting green, nice driving range and nice Clubhouse. Great for the price. Expect to be challenged.

I reviewed Inniscrone back in 2014 - I think... As I said I worked there for awhile and, while there are some quirky holes, I generally like coming back here. This time I played tees that were too long, but that wasn't the issue. The place just looks like it could use some TLC. The greens were pock marked - unfixed ball marks plus a lot of black spots from past ball mark sins. Most of the tee boxes were full of bare spots. Maybe the maintenance budget is down? On the plus side, the staff (of one?) was very pleasant and I was greeted nicely. The fairways are mostly decent, but again, lots of divots that weren't replaced and no sand bottles on the carts. The price for a Senior of $33 was great.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! Staff and management is very unprofessional and course is poorly run. Have played 3 times In past 60 days, mostly due to affordable rates, but had poor experience on every occasion. Poor pace with no Marshall, no rain check even due to severe storm, and very rude young man/staff at counter. Also, some holes have very weird layout design. There are many other options in area that are nicer, better run, and affordable...this is NOT WORTH THE DRIVE.

This course is not for your average hacker.

This is the second time I've played here. I'm relatively new to golf, but have played a great number of courses the last few months. This is (for me) the most challenging I've played, and will ultimately improve my game....or kill me in the process. About halfway through I'm thinking "what went wrong", followed by "I'm coming back until I break 80 here, or the 300+ year old tree falls on me. The course is well maintained, an interesting layout, and has the most friendly and accommodating staff I've met so far. If you're new to golf, don't be discouraged if your score is unusually high, it's a challenging "thinker" kind of place. Again, the staff from the parking lot greeter, to the club house, to the starter, are the best around. You will enjoy yourself, and possibly be humbled in the process.

I drove by this golf course for 24 years. Finally played it and can't wait to get back there.

Great price for a challenging course. Weather was nice, but wind made havoc of our game. Seemed to be in our face for most of the course, which added much length to the course. Have played many times, and always glad to go back!

PROS - Excellent staff; got a nice preview of the course from the friendly professional. The round comes with a free small range bucket to Pace of play; played 18 in less than four hours on a Sunday afternoon. The front nine is pretty fair but has some tricks. Conditions were good.

CONS - The back nine is easily among the three worst layouts I've ever played. Every hole has a blind shot, several of them into the green. 16 and 17 are poor designs that make easy holes unnecessarily difficult. The only saving grace was the drivable 18th.

This is my new favorite course. You can't beat the price for this course. It is challenging, in great condition, and provides the country club feeling without the huge price tag.

I played Inniscrone for the first time in a number of years today, and I came away very impressed with the results of the efforts made by the new ownership. The course overall was in excellent shape, vastly improved since my last outing here. The most impressive upgrade is on the 16th hole where an eyesore scrub area that separated the two levels of the fairway has been replaced with a seamless groomed fairway connecting both levels.

Clearly the management at Inniscrone cares about the quality of the golf experience. If you haven't been there recently, please give them a try. Their efforts deserve our patronage in a time when too many other venues are happy to collect greens fees without investing back into their courses.

For the price you can't beat it. Great course. Great staff

Course is in great shape and greens were rolling fast!

1st time I played here and it was windy.. I felt like I would have scored much better in less windy conditions.. The staff is awesome. They informed us of all the oddities of the course.. I know it is the season for trees to drop seeds but I just wish they had blown off the Greens.. Maybe they did earlier ,I just felt it hurt the putting.. Greens themselves were great.It rained early morning so the traps were not fun. It pays to be able to hit them straight!! I want to go back again soon !!

I love this course , I drove 1hr 15 mins , it's a very challenging course which I like, greens roll very nice, super layout, don't take any shots for granted, the pro is super friendly, gave me advice on a few holes! This course makes you think hard on club selection, can't wait to go back again! If your within an hrs drive give it a shot, I don't think you will be disappointed!!

Great course loved it awesome

Played here many times. Course is always in very good to great condition. Greens, fairways and rough are great; traps are improving. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Back nine can slow down a bit due to challenging finishing holes. Good test of all aspects of your game. Overall, a consistently great golf experience.

The fairways and tees are in good condition. The greens are poor and the cart paths are awful

I played here at least 10 rounds a year... always enjoy playing it... Tight fairways, forced carries, some holes are not fair and difficult for a 20-cap,,,, like hole # 10, 180-yd T-shot to a landing area, most of the times it would be a downhill lie and you have to forced carry 140-yd your second shot over a waste land,,, No 16 has a split fairway, it's better now... in general back 9 is more challenging than the front 9... but I always enjoy playing here... location could be tough for some... go try it
