Wildhorse Golf Course

Wildhorse was OK. Fairways were a little burnt out, but since it is winter, course conditions were as expected. Many of the greens looked worn out, probably from abuse. Overall, I would play again if there was a good deal offered, but would not go out of my way to play this course.

First time on this course. Greens and tee areas were great. I was surprised by the sogginess of a few fairways. I can only imagine what they’ll be like once the rains come. I’d recommend playing this course only in the dry season.

Nice layout. Course was in good condition and greens were nice. Staff (and other players) were very friendly.

First time on course. Hard to distinguish between fairways first time out. Partially paved cart paths. Trees on 18th should be avoided. If you can hit over you’re past the green or on a different tee box. Believe I’ll enjoy more next time out.

This course is in decent shape with the fires and lack of rain we are having. The pace of play was good until 17 & 18 which is normal for this course.

No one to monitor the play. Took over 5 hours to play.

Tee box greens and fairways dry or dead, rough and surrounding areas soaked. Soaked to the point of slop and smell. Very strange routing and unclear signage. Greens were recovering from being punched and the gree fees were adjusted, but even at $45, I'd say it is over priced with healed greens.

Just not for me

When I lived in Woodland, I used to play at this course pretty regularly. It has been a few years since I’ve played this course, so when I went out with a friend I expected to play a nice course for a good price as this was their first time playing this course. The course was in bad shape. The fairways were filled with large barren spots that provided terrible surfaces to hit from. The rough was littered with grab crass that would snag the face of iron clubs. The greens had just been aerated, which is not a knock on the course but added to the overall poor experience.

The one positive takeaway is that the staff were friendly and hospitable but that is to be expected.

The staff were very friendly and the course has great potential, but a bit on the expensive side.. Unfortunately there are parts of the course where drainage is horrible, very soggy fairways that I found balls inbedded in the mud on the fairway. There are other fairways that have big spots of dirt with no grass. I didn't look at the distances from the tees, but I ususally play from the white tees at most places. The white tees here are on the shorter side, if I go back I will definitely move to the blue tees.
