Golfer Reviews
Not likely to return
Tee box greens and fairways dry or dead, rough and surrounding areas soaked. Soaked to the point of slop and smell. Very strange routing and unclear signage. Greens were recovering from being punched and the gree fees were adjusted, but even at $45, I'd say it is over priced with healed greens.
Just not for me
Disappointing
When I lived in Woodland, I used to play at this course pretty regularly. It has been a few years since I’ve played this course, so when I went out with a friend I expected to play a nice course for a good price as this was their first time playing this course. The course was in bad shape. The fairways were filled with large barren spots that provided terrible surfaces to hit from. The rough was littered with grab crass that would snag the face of iron clubs. The greens had just been aerated, which is not a knock on the course but added to the overall poor experience.
The one positive takeaway is that the staff were friendly and hospitable but that is to be expected.
This course needs help
The staff were very friendly and the course has great potential, but a bit on the expensive side.. Unfortunately there are parts of the course where drainage is horrible, very soggy fairways that I found balls inbedded in the mud on the fairway. There are other fairways that have big spots of dirt with no grass. I didn't look at the distances from the tees, but I ususally play from the white tees at most places. The white tees here are on the shorter side, if I go back I will definitely move to the blue tees.
Very nice
First time playing and will definitely come back. One very noticeable area that needs improvement are the bunkers. No sand or hardly any! Otherwise it’s a great course to play!
The course was in decent shape. The bunkers were hard as rocks. The staff said it was pretty empty, but it ended up being really packed. It was so packed and slow that people were cutting holes to jump in front or go back to previous holes that it created even more of a slower pace. Not sure if I’d go back to play for a while with the price being a little on the steep end. There are definitely better courses for better prices, but overall not the worst experience
Pretty average
Four stars only because the staff was amazing. The course itself leaves quite a bit to be desired when compared to area courses with a similar price point. These have to be the spongiest, slowest greens I have played in Northern California this year. The bunkers are in horrible condition and 1/2 the tee boxes were overwatered, saturated and squishy underfoot.
Nice course!
This was a nice course! Fairway conditions were nice. The greens are well protected by bunkers - which caused me to think a little more about any given shot I would take. I played from the blue and shot 86. I was pleased.
Great track
Great layout. For the first time playing it, the tee boxes were deceptive. Holes looked longer or shorter than they were. Maintenance was lacking in some spots but overall would play again in a heartbeat. Staff was all good too
Decent track
Decent track, fairly narrow off the tee. Greens rolled out nicely, bunkers had minimal sand. There was no starter and the pace of play was very slow
