Slow goin’

Terribly slow round for an 8:00 start. 4some in front of us had 2-3 open holes in front of them by 18. Course needs a marshal.

Beautiful

I love this course. It is in great shape and the views are amazing. There’s no shortage of wildlife as I almost stepped on a rattlesnake towards the end of the front 9. Make sure you are watching where you’re walking. The only drawback for my second time playing was that it is cart path only, as are most courses I’m finding this time of year. This made the pace of play really slow but still well worth it regardless.

Great Course

I always enjoy playing this course. Fairways and rough are well defined. Greens are very receptive. Pace of play is usually very good. Not a lot of waiting. The beautiful scenery and elevation changes make this course amazing.

An Oldie Not a Goodie

The website photos make the course look immaculate, almost majestic. And there are some beautiful views of the foothills and the valley to the south. But the reality is, the course is extremely dated and in need of substantial upgrades. I have no doubt it was one of the places to be in the 70s or 80s. The elevated tees and greens are a nice change of pace from typical AZ golf. However, the extremely poor course conditions make the vistas less desirable - e.g. bare patches in the fairways, rocks in the bunkers and overgrown ‘native’ desert foliage. I will not be playing this course again. There are far better options in Tucson.

Very Good Condition, Great Layout

Played in afternoon. Course empty. Greens and fairways in very good shape, especially for this time of year. Expect the same for another week before they close on 9/26 for overseeding. Bargain at $25.
