About
DeBary Golf & Country Club, a Lloyd Clifton-designed course sits on hilly land. The layout is fascinating. No two holes feel similar. Only two holes have water, but there is significant sand. Dense woods of pine and evergreen border the fairways. The rolling fairways and natural layout give the golf course a Carolinas feel. The par 5s are all in the 500- to 550-yard range. The par 3s are all approximately the same distance, running 180 to 190 yards from the back tees, and 150 to 160 yards from the white tees. DeBary is one of the few Clifton golf courses that do not top out at more than 7,000 yards.

Debary golf
The golf course and greens were in very good shape compared to all the other courses in the area. Great layout and fun course to play. Friendly staff, especially the young lady on the course and young lady working the outdoor snack bar.
Best conditions in West volusia county
The course is really in great shape all around. The greens are fast and true. The fairways are very nice. The bunkers are well. Taken care. The course is challenging. The other golf courses in the area should take notice of the way a real golf course should be managed and maintain.
Fun round of golf.
Great course. You can tell the effort is being applied to keep it in good shape. Challenging, elevated greens and many trees. Green speed and shape was excellent.

I played this course on Monday at 3:15 and finished by 6 for $30. What an absolute steal. This course has some really pretty holes. It’s fun, but also challenging. The fairways were in good shape, as were the greens and bunkers I had multiple groups in front of me that allowed me to play through so it was great to see that kind of conscious golf being played.
There were a few Tee boxes that were clearly getting worked on, and that’s really all that kept this from being 5 stars.
I will definitely be back, I had a great time.
Good, almost great, but too slow
The good is good. Course was in good shape, greens were a tad sandy but super quick. First time playing course and loved the layout and little elevation changes. A map/course layout would have been appreciated but not necessary, as a few holes had blind shots into greens.
The bad was excruciating. Pace of play was absolutely horrendous. The ranger driving around did little if anything to speed it up or advise but a 5 hour round is completely unacceptable. I asked a few of the groups behind (we ended up stacking 4 groups on a par 3 while waiting for group ahead to finish) and they said this happens. Based on carts and how it looked before round, they should have split some groups to start on back or at least have the ranger start moving groups.
I'd come back in time, but definitely did not make this a high priority return course to spend $60 and wait.
Beautiful course
Course was absolutely beautiful. Greens were fast and pin placement was challenging. This course will challenge even good golfers which makes it even More Fun to play. Most well kept, affordable course in Central Florida.
Consistently Good!!
Always one of my favorites in Volusia county! Conditions were great. Pace was a little slow, but was tolerable. I can always count on having an enjoyable round.
They really need to water the fairways and greens. Plays extremely fast and firm. Bring your best putting game because the surface is hard and fast. Played on Saturday morning and it took over five hours.
