DeBary Golf & Country Club
About
DeBary Golf & Country Club, a Lloyd Clifton-designed course sits on hilly land. The layout is fascinating. No two holes feel similar. Only two holes have water, but there is significant sand. Dense woods of pine and evergreen border the fairways. The rolling fairways and natural layout give the golf course a Carolinas feel. The par 5s are all in the 500- to 550-yard range. The par 3s are all approximately the same distance, running 180 to 190 yards from the back tees, and 150 to 160 yards from the white tees. DeBary is one of the few Clifton golf courses that do not top out at more than 7,000 yards.

Fallen tree while we were on green. Photo submitted by tbusfbulls10 on 04/21/2013
Greens are in great shape. There is some large areas of standing water on a few holes due to the hurricanes. On the holes with blind shots to the greens- be sure to take a look at the top of the hill, as you cannot see the standing water from the tee (holes 5,6,11,14) I may have missed 1. There are also a few subtle changes to the layout- the big bunker on # 1 has been replaced with 2 smaller green side bunkers that make the uphill approach much easier. Overall the course is in good shape and is a good challenge.
Great Course
A bit chilly when we played. The course was is great shape. The greens were very smooth and fast.
Fun but challenging
Got a very nice Deal Time for a nice small country club just outside Orlando. Although the rough was spongy, most likely due to inability to mow wet rough from the recent hurricanes, course was in remarkably good condition. Greens very fast and fair. Fund course for all ability levels. With somewhat wet conditions, it would be a good idea to play from one tee forward of where you would normally play as there is not much roll. There were some hurricane made "ponds" or standing water but most out of play. Will definitely play again when I return to Orlando area.
First time, great time
Played today and had a great time. Pace of play was great, the staff was great. The standing water got me a few times because of blind shots, and never playing there, but that's not their fault. Quite possibly the toughest greens that rolled perfect. More of the community golf courses, need to come here and see how they are doing it and emulate it.
When you're done, go inside and get some Mexican chocolate ice cream. Crazy good
Bring your best game
Debary is a ball strikers golf course. If you don't have control of your ball, you will be in for a long day. This course will punish you and at the same time reward you if you can control your irons. True test of your skills as a golfer...
Debary Country Club
Great track will be back! Rough not deadly, greens were nice and smooth and well protected.
I enjoy my day on your course except for the last 2 holes we had 2 five somes in front of us and we were a two somes but I will be back and I hope it will not happen again.
Tank you
Slow Paced
Little chocked up. Delayed due to sun pushed everyone back, according to starter. Took about 4:45 minutes to get our round in. The first hole was altered and we were not informed. Club choice would have been different. There were some major wet areas, a little caution to keep out of the wetlands was required. Although it was slow, which affects the rhythm of your game, it was a pleasant day. The weather was perfect and also playing with a friend. We’ll come back.
Consistent over the years
Had the chance to play Debary for the first time in years. Same great green complexes and conditions. Some of the best elevation changes along I-4 corridor. Won’t wait so long until the next round.
Good layout
The course had a temporary green on the 1st hole since there was water on all low lying areas. For the price of $60 for this round it was NOT worth it.
I’ve played there before and it was OK for the $45 fee paid. Honestly, they should have discounted.
