DeBary Golf & Country Club
About
DeBary Golf & Country Club, a Lloyd Clifton-designed course sits on hilly land. The layout is fascinating. No two holes feel similar. Only two holes have water, but there is significant sand. Dense woods of pine and evergreen border the fairways. The rolling fairways and natural layout give the golf course a Carolinas feel. The par 5s are all in the 500- to 550-yard range. The par 3s are all approximately the same distance, running 180 to 190 yards from the back tees, and 150 to 160 yards from the white tees. DeBary is one of the few Clifton golf courses that do not top out at more than 7,000 yards.

long hitter
love the course, greens were excellent ,and a great layout
Overall nice experience, have played there numerous times
They had recently punched the greens and fairways, so considering that, the course was in really nice shape. The bartender at the clubhouse restaurant was so incredibly nice and attentive.
In overall value, i'd say it's pretty comparable to nearby courses like Timacuan, Eagle Dunes, Red Tail, Black Bear
Course is coming along nicely
Very obvious improvements here....sod, fert, drainage etc. New management is doing an excellent job.
Good Course
Unlike the other golf courses in the area, Debary is making huge efforts to maintain and improve course condition. Lots of new drainage being installed. Cart path and erosion issues are being addressed. The greens and fairways are well maintained. Fun layout. Victoria Hills, Deltona Club and Glen Abby should follow suit if they expect local golfers to play at their golf courses.
Love the course.
Wonderful day of golf. Greens were recently sanded was only issue.
DeBary
Good value. Kept in good condition. Upgrading the course. Friendly staff.
Aireated and Sanded Greens`
Greens were pretty and rough as a cob. Took all the fun out of the day, while we waited with 3 other groups at every par 3.....charged retail plus for what should have been a discount course.
Elevation changes
Sadly when I played the back 9 was not open for play so I opted for only 9 holes.
I found a course that was challenging not only due to elevation changes but also challenging angles to the greens that made them extra difficult to hit.
A true advanced golfers course with narrow greens demanding control of approach shots with high cuts , low or knockdown shots and the occasional draw into the canted greens.
The sand shots were also no gimme even with the bending pin placements.
It left me wanting to return to see how the back nine was configured.
Decided to give it a 2nd chance...
Played Debary Country club about 6 months ago on a Saturday. It took 6 hours and 45min to play. Decided to give it another go yesterday on a Sunday. We quit on the 14th hole because of slow play. The course was in okay shape, greens were bumpy, fairways were decent. But I will not play there again, it's just too slow. They need to quit overbooking and they don't monitor it at all.
Windy day
Weather was windy so it added to the difficulty of the course.Fairways a little thin, they had been verticut.Greens were fast.Need a little more growing in.But that is due to the early season and weather.Price was very fair. You hit off mats on range.Overall a good layout and good for the price.Pace of play was good.
