About
DeBary Golf & Country Club, a Lloyd Clifton-designed course sits on hilly land. The layout is fascinating. No two holes feel similar. Only two holes have water, but there is significant sand. Dense woods of pine and evergreen border the fairways. The rolling fairways and natural layout give the golf course a Carolinas feel. The par 5s are all in the 500- to 550-yard range. The par 3s are all approximately the same distance, running 180 to 190 yards from the back tees, and 150 to 160 yards from the white tees. DeBary is one of the few Clifton golf courses that do not top out at more than 7,000 yards.

Great Round
My Adult Son and I decided to play here for the first time. Obviously being our first time we did not know the layout of the property but, staff was there to assist us in everyday! Great Friendly Service!! Course was in great shape. The course was challenging and fun. Pace of play was a little slow but, not too bad. We had a group of 3 ahead of us 2 and it was entertaining to see one of the group in front of us throw their clubs in anger from bad golf!! Anyway, food is good at the club house and great atmosphere!! Thinking of buying a membership since I live 15 minutes from the clubhouse. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COURSE! .

Need a Starter and Course Ranger
Had a 2:07 hot deal. Got there at 1:30 and had to wait 2 min for a cart. Got to first tee at 2:00, and there were 5 groups in front of me. Didn't tee off until 2:40. Didn't finish the first 9 until 5:45. No point in even booking a tee time if no one is enforcing the groups. I expect slowness to an extent, but this was awful. Was going to join as a member, but not anymore. Course was in okay shape. Greens not very good. Very challenging track, even more so when you are waiting 10-15 min. In between every shot.

A great hot deal
Course had been aerated few weeks ago but she is growing in nicely! The greens were rather fast and flags strategically place behind sandtraps making for a fun experience. A few more weeks and some rain and it will be very nice. Get out here!

Challenging Course
Course is challenging but greens had recently been top dressed with sand which made them ridiculous to putt on. Had I known the greens had recently been repaired I would have deferred my visit to Debary. Unfortunately there was no notice or advisory of this so my experience was disappointing. The course design is challenging and I look forward to giving this course another try at a later date. Pictures provided are on the green.

Needs work
Have always enjoyed playing DeBary, usually in fine shape. Didn't know going out the greens had been aerated, and that's ok, but the "fairways? They are currently a mess! Muddy, barren, lack of 'growth' and in need of some serious work! I'll have to wait at least a month before I go back as it's going to take that long for the course to "recover". That goes for most of the T boxes as well!

I'd wait another couple of weeks .....
Greens and fairways plugged recently - was disappointed in the greens because normally Debary has excellent fast greens. Bumpy rolls today and not very fast. Some fairways recently plugged too. Would be nice if a course warning was on GolfNow. I love Debary...don't get me wrong...just wait a couple more weeks.

Punched and sanded greens
Had no idea the greens were in such poor condition when I booked this tee time. Greens were recently punched and sanded. Staff did not mention it when checking in, no offer of remorse. Won't be playing here again anytime soon. Terrible!

course is beat-up by rain storms
Rain washout is everywhere, fairways and t-boxes are rough, some areas are dangerous, deep channels. They are trying to repair but it is wet and it will take some time.
Greens are good and fast, good shape for rolling them true.
What Is It Callled.....
How do you rate a course where you pretty mixh liked everything but the 10some!!! Yes 10some as in 1 2 3 4 5 6 6 7 8 9 10 people playing in a group infront of you? And the staff was aware of this.
The course was in solid shape. Fairways were ok. Greens were fast and fair. Traps were maintained. Range and putting greens available. All in all thr course was solid. But 10somes should not be allowed during peak golf times.

Enjoyed playing there again been a long time
The course layout is great, lots of standing water everywhere, but we are in Florida lol. Had good time with friends and will return.
