George W Dunne National Golf Course

Course was pretty wet from the raid the week leading up to when I played. A lot of clean and replace happening. Course itself is fun. It isn’t just driver 9i/wedge. You have to think through shots and avoid hazards/OB.

Please put money into the bunkers. On every hole there are multiple bunkers. Please put good quality sand in them and make them playable. Too many bunkers not to take care of them. The course could use a new club house also.

This course has a great layout. The Forest Preserve, that owns this and several other courses hires companies to manage the courses. I played this course before and during Billy Casper company managed it. Casper did not do a good job. Currently managed by Indigo. The course conditions have not gotten much better. It is hard for me to drive about 1 hr to go and play this course too often.

I try to play George Dunne a few times a year. Weather was cool 41f but only about 8 people on the course. About 4 GolfNow tee times for 34 dollars the rest were over 60 dollars to much for this time of year.. a real championship course where you can only see the hole you are playing. So great layout nice greens good bunkers.

Also it is long from the back over 7,000 yards I play the whites about 6,200. It’s a fun course with plenty of challenges

This property is not littered with any homes. It’s a gem of a course close to downtown. Many holes are surrounded by forest preserve and deer sightings are common. There are water hazards on several holes and some tight fairways so your tee shots really matter. My only complaint is the bunkers have not been raked in what seemed to be since 1969. It was still a great day in late November. I will play here again and again. Dan

Always enjoy playing this course, a great layout. End of year conditions so balls hard to find in the leaves and bunkers almost not playable but greens nice and fairly fast.

Course was in great shape for time of year. Greens were in great condition and rolling great.

Scenic and challenging

This is a Great Course with a challenging layout! Course is always in good shape except for the bunkers which is pretty common in the area. Staff is always great, friendly and professional!!!

Cart great for Wet weather golf. Actually saw lot a deer including a buck with antlers .

How do you charge $75 on a course w/hard fairways, bouncing greens and sand bunkers as hard as concrete. Straight trash. If you got nothing to do, go to Dunne an waste 5 1/2 hours of your life
