George W Dunne National Golf Course

One of the best golf experiences of the year. The sand traps were aww inspiring in shape but muddier than beach like. Beggars can’t be choosers but if there were a drink cart then it would be my new favorite gem!

Love the course and the staff. Just needs a lot of bunker work. Otherwise always in great shape.

My wife bought this for my birthday. Loved the heck out of it. So nice. I wish I could afford to play here more. We were paired with 2 nice guys too. Great day!

But the bunkers are worse than they have ever been, and that is saying a lot as they have always been bad. Can't management allocate some money for a bunker renewal project? Other than bunkers, conditions were pretty good.

Sand traps need a lot of work. Pace of play - not bad for the front nine. Had to wait at every hole thereafter. Most holes we reached the tee box and the group in front of us were waiting to tee off. Not much fun - especially when it’s 90 degrees out there.

But it’s a great layout and the fairways and greens look good.

Love the layout, especially the back 9. Great value. Pace of play was very slow on a very hot Friday. The sand bunkers and pace of play keep me from giving it 5 stars. The greens and fairways were nearly perfect.

The tee boxes, fairways and greens were superb, as good as any I've played this year and better than most. Unfortunately, the bunkers were unplayable, but that seems to be the case almost everywhere.

Everything is good except the sand traps. They are dirt not sand. If they had these fixed it could be a five star course.

Great course, well maintained everywhere but the bunkers. Mostly hard dirt. When we played moved every ball out of the bunker. There been pikes of sand in the parking lot for weeks

Actually the course was very wet, but every course was. At the 3rd hole it rained hard for 30 minutes. Now we not only had cart path only but standing water on all fairways.

Still the course was in great condition except for Mother Nature's handiwork. The water not only slowed the roll of the ball, but the pace of play.

We had fun anyways.

Love this course for the layout & the challenge. They’ve improved the range with new matts & balls. The staff is always professional & nice. I’ve been told since Covid that they’re redoing the bunkers & if you’ve played here you realize that it’s no small task or expense. The many bunkers are in need of sand & that’s the only thing keeping it from 5 stars!

The pace of play was really poor for it took over 5 hours and we got stuck behind groups that were waiting the entire round. The bunkers are straight up dirt that aren’t worth hitting out of.

Great course! Awesome history. Fun layout. Fair price 👍
