Golfer Reviews
Stay away, so sad the golf course has gone south
Omg what a terrible thing, this golf course used to be so beautiful back in the day, now huge size rocks in the bunkers, terrible greens, so sad. Stay away and spend your money elsewhere, you will thank me!
Aerated greens - terrible lies in rough. Sand traps not raked.
Great public course
Aside from the greens being aerated recently, the course was in good shape. Some of the sand traps had large ponds of water in them. Fortunately, I avoided those traps. Would recommend this course to anyone looking for a challenge.
Thank you so much for your review Mike! We are happy to see you enjoyed our course. We value your feedback, and hope to see you back in the future.
Impressive
I was impressed for it being a forest preserve course. I’ll be back
Always a great track
Course was in great shape, greens were firm and rolled incredible.
Pray for some rain or turn on the sprinklers
Very slow, but could have been from the very windy conditions. Tee boxes and greens very hard from the lack of water. Sand traps could use some sand some were bare. Always a great layout, cart lady was on top of her game. There were also a lot of dandelions on the course. Good value.
Sand traps need work done, many appeared washed out with lots of small rocks. Other had way too much sand. Fairways and greens in fair condition.
The course is in fantastic condition, greens run true. The sand traps however need to be raked on the upslope of the bunkers because it seems there is too much sand. I hit an approach shot on the 6th hole and the ball hit the very top of the trap and the ball buried completely. I must have spent 5 minutes looking for my ball before finding it.
Solid
Saw some deer and geese. Really well maintained. In the middle of a forest, super fun track
What happened to this place!!!
Horrible round.!!! This place has become a joke! No ranger in sight! Sat on every tee box for 10 minutes before teeing off. At one point there were 3 groups on one box. Don’t know what happened to this place but it’ll be the last time they get my money for a while!!!
Rake bunkers
Charging $73 for a Saturday morning in April is the highest greens fee anywhere in the area. I do not mind paying top dollar but I expect top course conditions. None of the sand traps were raked. Looks like they haven’t been touched in weeks. Just because players can take bunkers due to covid, does not mean the course can not take them prior to each day. Especially weekends.
