gREAT COURSE
WOULD PLAY AGAIN COURSE WAS WET DUE TO AMOUNT OF RECENT HEAVY RAIN
One of the best in the Chicagoland
This course equally compare to Dubsdred. The course lived up to the expectations! The majority of the greens are surround by well-maintained, substantial bunkers. I have played some of the top courses in the US and this is one of the best courses for the value. Enjoy the challenging and manicured course.
bad sand
They have an excellent course lay out with a great deal of sand. Unfotunately the sand traps were unplayable. Possibly due to the rain. That was the only negative.
Condition of course not what it usually is
The course in the past was in great condition this time fairways have diseases in spots, greens were bumpy, and some sand traps were rock hard. Sad because this course has a great layout that could challenge all levels of players.
Well kept course and a great price
Best of the Forest Preserve courses.
Would have given it 5 stars if front 9 greens had not been aereataded.A walk through the woods and golf too, hard to beat that.
Great course
Very good course. Enjoyed the beautiful layout. Will be back.
Fort Knox
Really nice course for the price. Sand traps everywhere. The greens are protected like Fort Knox. Every approach was a nice challenge.
Great course
Great course can't wait to go back carts are gps which is pretty sweet staff was helpful and friendly and the course was in great shape
poor reservation system
Always overbooked, this is the 2nd time booking through golf now in last one year. Went there same story tee off at 4.04 but the guy stated there were no carts and there might be a 45-50 min wait to tee off. same story happened last year. completely overbooked and be ready to spend 5-6 hrs for a round.
will be back again
We were this first 4 some after a golf outing now we know why it was 22 Dollars easy with a cart so we just played at there pace and had a great day
GDNGC review
best public course in the south suburbs.
we had a family outing the ladies didn't think they got much of a break on some holes.
I love this course
Poor Conditions
The course seems to emphasize it's bunkers.
Too bad they were in terrible shape.
6 hours
Place was packed. Tee times every 8 minutes is just not a good idea. Left after 13 holes because I told the wife 4 1/2 - 5 hours...... not six.
Nice course
Course not in the best shape it has been in past. Many areas in fairway are barren. Sand traps were in great shape (and there are many). Greens in good shape. Still a nice track. Pace of play could improve 3rd hole had 3 groups backed up After no waiting the first two holes
Awesome
Absolutely gorgeous!! Sightings of deer, a coyote, and even chip monks!! Id golf here more if i could afford it. But love getting out at dunne once or twice a year!!
National is a great course
Congrats to the new management's thinking and offering very competitive prices. They have brought me back here. This course is the best Muni course in Chicagoland. Pace is always an issue, but I played in under 5 hours noon on a Sunday, so I will take it.
tough, tough, tough
The course played, real hard, when I went. some of the bunkers are still under repair, and the bunkers that weren't had too much sand in them. beside that course was beautiful and in great shape.
Overbooked George Dunne
The course is extremely poorly managed in all areas. Overbooked by a long shot to the point where there were no carts available for over an hour. Tee boxes were in good shape and mostly level. A few holes were very interesting and required a thoughtful approach. That's about it for the good. Bare patches on almost every fairway, tee off every 8 minutes(if even that long) everyone bunched up throughout the course, didn't see a single ranger, bare patches and burned in stripes on the green like I've never seen. Make putting impossible. Don't go.
scenic course
If you have 6 hrs available . Then this is your course..always been a slow pace of play course no matter the day of the week. Honoring tee times is a far fetched concept.the starter Jordan didn't have a clue..my young son enjoyed the fauna and wildlife. At the course..sometimes the price of a course never outweighs your time..
