Ledges Golf Club
About
The Ledges Golf Club in South Hadley is tucked away in the Pioneer Valley, an area of western Massachusetts known for its lush, rolling hills. It is a favorite amongst locals since it is one of the best values in the region. The course enjoys scenic views that stretch to Mt. Tom and the Holyoke Range. It is on the shorter side at just over 6,500 yards from the back tees, but the dramatic changes in elevation make it seem much longer. Most of the greens are raised with steeply sloped sides, making accuracy essential since missing them by even just a few feet will result in a serious penalty. The golf course has a heavily wooded front nine that seamlessly transitions into a more open back nine featuring links-style holes. The Ledges is a shotmaker's course that offers several interesting risk-reward opportunities.

Ledges Number Four, Par 4, 276. The fairway is narrow, with precious little bail-out to its right. A driveable hole for the bold. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2022

# Nine, Par 5, 528. These bunkers will snare many an approach shot that is sliced or pushed. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2022

The 10th is a classic downhill par-5 of 564; it’s a three-shotter for all but very long, straight hitters. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2022

The massive bunker that sides green eleven could be a nightmare for those who aren’t all that handy with a sand wedge. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2022

Eighteen (from the left rough): Great finisher where you’ll want to avoid every one of the seven fairway bunkers, including these three. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2022

The final hole as seen from its right rough. Getting up and down around this green is no simple task. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 06/22/2022

Have a day
Great conditions, tough challenge! Only public course around with actual sand bunkers. I know, found one on almost every hole. Good sand made it easy to hit em close! Greens have great pace and role true! Great views awesome food, try the French dip. Enjoy!
Suberb conditions
great course condition - fast greens and nice fairways. Pro shop stall very welcoming and friendly - seemed to really appreciate our foursome being there even with a golfnow voucher. Starter was also very accomendating. Overall a wonderful golf outing.
what a course
I have played this course on multiple occasions, and it seems like its keeps getting better. The course conditions are best around, better than 90 % of private clubs and has to be best municiple course in western mass if not the state, tees fairways everything is lush and great, . For the price you cant go wrong, as they say its best bang for your buck.
Nice experience beautiful setting
Fun course challenging enough for a duffer like myself "The game you love to hate" fantastic views of Mt. Holyoke mountain range. Folks fishing at pond on #4 tolerable. Ride between #4 and #5 through wild life sanctuary like area beautiful.Played mid day after prior evening deluge Dried out fairly well. Well groomed fairways. Lack of ball mark repairs on greens annoying. For a muni, a 4+ star.
Plus deal price @$20 including cart couldn't be beat
nice
Nice nice nice. Worth playing with nice greens. We had a 3some and moved along all day. I suggest you play the blue or further back to get a normal length course.
greatday
Great Course LoveTHe Layout..Lots Of Hidden Obstacles.Greens Were Firm..
DEADLY STAIRS
I fell last year on the main stairs that slant downhill, have no center rail (could have saved me) are made of slippery trex material and are presently a bit moldy/mossy... After receiving perm injury I 've asked 3 times in pro shop to fix them with railing and no skid strips...They obviously do not give a darn. Maybe I should have sued to make them WAKE UP... PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN WET!!!!!
The Ledges
Always have a great time driving up to the ledges course is in beautiful condition..
Very nice track!
Found a $30 deal on GolfNow and decided to give it a try. The staff was very polite and quickly got us set up and on our way. The conditions were near perfect and the course has been well maintained. It is a challenging course that will require you to make some very good golf shots. Accuracy is far more important than distance.
Gorgeous setting, marvelous staff!
The staff is friendly, well-dressed and very helpful from start to finish. All areas of the club house are clean and pleasant. The course is set with beautiful vistas in every direction. The course is in impeccable condition with some of the tee areas unbelievably thick and rich like top-quality carpet. The greens undulate and the fairways are beautiful.
A great place to golf!
Nice place to golf!
First time for wife and I at this course. The satff was super helpful and friendly! The course is well layed out with a mix of long and short holes. Many wedge shots played into the greens. Would paly again.
Great time!!
First time playing but won't be the last! Fairways were immaculate, greens were soft but not slow, and beautifully kept. When I learn to putt I'm sure I'll enjoy them that much more. A few blind drives to keep you from playing beyond yourself. Absolutely loved it and will be going back again soon!!
Ledges = Awesome public course
Easily one of the best public courses in MA fairways greens immaculate. play can sometimes be slow but that gives you time to take in some nice views. course is on shorter side and tight. recommend going with someone who has played there first time.
beautiful course
First time playing at this course. Definitely one of the best in the surrounding areas. Will go here more often.
Do not walk 18
Booked an 18 hole walk only rate on Golfnow.. Which I rather walk then ride in most cases. Would have been nice to have them tell me in the clubhouse that you might want to ride if playing 18. Especially first time playing. Lot of blind shots off the tee. A couple of gimmic holes. Also about a 1/3 mile from 4th green to 5th tee. Course was in great conditions, would of been excellent but most sand traps were very hard sand, Needed raking. Not the easiest to find your way around. Better signs to tell you where to go especially if you are walking.
Muni mostly
Good value with course in good shape. Staff very congenial and informed . Will be back.
Think about it
Nice course. Fairways were immaculate, like hitting off of a plush carpet. Many sand bunkers and doglegs requiring target shots. Some of the holes are short but interesting.
Beautiful Course
The fairways were in the best shape for any course around me and that is saying a lot. The greens needed a little work but it is still early in the season
Ledges
This is a great course- immaculate, lush fairways, friendly staff and great views. Green were recently treated. In a couple of weeks, this will be 5-star course tee to green.
great condition
first time playing. course was in great shape even this early in spring. would play again
