The Legends at Orange Lake Resort

Palmer designed course. Has challenges but is a very fair golf course enjoyable to play. Tee placements vary a lot and tends to play a lot shorter than the score card.

My family and I had a great time at this property. The course was surprisingly in great shape for being a resort course. Really enjoyed the layout. Our starter left a little to be desired as he was pushing groups out rather bluntly ahead of us. We were there on time so he was okay with us but I was surprised at the tone he was using to guests. All in all though it was a great experience.

This might be my favorite fun course in Central Florida. I'm an 11 handicap and have shot 79 here and 98 here (and many scores in between). Many interesting holes and lots of different shots needed. Course is always in excellent shape.

Only issue is that because it is a resort course, it occasionally gets outings, and sometimes pace can be slow.

The course is in beautiful shape, lots of water and pace of play was kept up by the Rangers.

Our group of snowbirds had the pleasure of playing The Legends at Orange Lake 3 times this month. Everything is first class from the bag drop to pro shop to the starter. The course was in very good condition. We found that you need to play the front nine well as the back is much more difficult with lots of water hazards. Everyone enjoyed themselves and will definitely will be back!

Greens were slower than I expected. course was a lot of fun to play.

Played on Sunday afternoon as a single and got paired with another single. Course was in good shape, nothing special. Blind shots and hidden hazards. Good thing my partner knew the course. Very slow front nine as a 4 some ahead was very slow leaving an entire hole between them and the 4 some ahead of them. Not worth the $80 I paid through golf now. Played many better course for less.

This course presented two different nines - the front was pretty, relatively wide open, and reasonably easy. The back included five or six second shots that required a difficult over-water carry to beautiful greens - quite hard and very fun! The tee boxes , fairways, bunkers were 4 star at least and the greens were smooth, true, held well and were quite fast.

Overall, this is in the top three "value" courses I've found in the Orlando area over the past five years. I'll be back for a week in February and will definitely come to The Legends again! You should as well!

It was Friday the 13th of January, but everything came together for a fantastic round of golf. The weather was in the high 70's, and the golf course was in impeccable condition. The service from the staff was outstanding and we played well. The gentlemen at the bag drop took care of our bags with a smile, showed us where the facilities were, and started us on our journey. The stars must have been aligned in our favor. Despite having a full field of golfers, the player assistant was on his toes today. We got behind a foursome that were probably tourists enjoying the Florida climate and not playing ready golf. By the third hole, Ranger Mike was admonishing many of the groups to keep it moving. He checked in regularly to insure satisfaction.

Some of my playing partners needed a warmup on the range, which is HUGE! I prefer to work on chips and putts before venturing out. There is a chipping area near the driving range and a putting surface before the 1st tee.

The Arnold Palmer designed Legends is a joy to play with a fine selection of holes, very challenging and aesthetically beautiful.

You will play every club in the bag and maybe a few extra balls, if you are not familiar with the many water hazards and use smart management of your golf game. Water does not come into play until #4, a legendary par 5, well bunkered with water coming into play off the tee and on the back of the green. The next 3 holes are dry but the par 5, 8th has water around the tee and right of the green. Nine has a pond in front of the green to cross unless you play left and then the mighty oak could cause problems. There 3 par 5's on the front and only one on the back. Greens were fast with some foreign clumps of grass invading the bermuda.

The cart lady was there to fuel our round with cold drinks and arrived many times to make sure our cups never got empty. We finished our round inside 4 hours and enjoyed the well kept and challenging course. They have a very nice restaurant with good service and the pro shop is well stocked with plenty of goodies to purchase. We will be back to confront the Legends again.

We had the good fortune of booking our round for $32 each. With the course in as good a shape as it was, this was real good value for money.

Overall conditions were quite good; we had played it last year and didn't remember it being in as good shape as it was at the moment.

Staff were super friendly, and it was nice to see a Ranger not only on the course, but actually doing his job. We did not wait on a single hole, which was a first for all our rounds at various Orlando golf courses this trip.

Tees were in good shape, fairways were okay...a bit patchy in places, and the greens were good; maybe a few weeds in places, but didn't seem to effect the putting.

If we have time, we will go back!

Course was in pretty good shape, greens were quick and rolled nicely. Fairways were in decent shape but could have been better. Love the layout of the course, typical of an Annie course. Definitely challenging for mid-low handicappers.

Definitely would play again.

Moderately priced course. Course in great condition. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely play this track again when I return to Florida.

Once again this course proved to be a challenge but in the best way. Taking his signature rock barrier greens and making it fun to go low... If possible! Can't wait to get back out there because so far it's been the best condition of the others around!

First time playing the course found it was in great shape,pace of play was on point,staff was friendly as can be. Overall fantastic experience!!!!!

Wow, what a great course. Very much enjoyed the layout of this course especially the back nine, Just Beautiful! Weather conditions where absolutely perfect and staff went above and beyond. One of the best courses we golfed at during this trip to Orlando.

Challenging layout, the golf course has been maintained beautifully. Friendly staff and good overall experience. Another great course run by integrity golf!
