The Legends at Orange Lake Resort

We thoroughly enjoyed our round at Orange lake .

. It's a gorgeous layout in idyllic surroundings, 'manicured', rather than maintained into perfect condition.

Water hazards abound, as one would expect, but do not overwhelm one since the options are left open, the 'gung-ho' and the more cautious without wimping out on the hole.

The real estate is discrete-but it does not intrude unlike so many courses of this ilk.

Arnold Palmer has left his mark on this beautiful and testing course.

This course had matured into a very challenging 18 holes: the greens are smooth and slick and the fairways well maintained. Always a pleasure to play when in town. Well recommends. I first played this course the year after it opened and it had just got better and better....

Fun to play. Well manicured and maintained. Greens were a little rough. Looked like they had recently top dressed with sand. Putts ran pretty true if properly read. Fast downhill more than expected. Did not like the long distance between greens and many of the tees but that is the norm for many courses these days since carts seem to be the norm. This course would be difficult to walk due to green/tee distance.

Turned up and was told it was a cashless resort so had to go to the other end of the complex to get a gift card. This then left us with 5 minutes before our tee time. Upon getting to the tee there was 12 people there when it was our tee time, a distinct lack of organisation and control by the staff. We then go and speak to somebody who sends us to the back nine where as a 2 ball amongst 4s was awful. We only played the first 7 holes of the back nine and went to start on the 1st due to horrendous pace of play with a lack of monitoring from a Marshall. 2 hours to play 7 in buggies is shocking.

The course itself is very good but was in very poor condition, the greens were the worst I played on this year whilst over on vacation. The tees and some approaches looked like they hadn't been cut in the last 3 or 4 days which again was not as expected.

Won't be coming back to play again!

Nice course . Greens needed a bit of work. Pace of play was slow no ranger out to speed things along. Would play again though.

Staff very friendly upon arrival. Tee time on schedule, actually we played about 20 minutes ahead of schedule. Pace of play was extremely good. We played in 3-1/2 hours. Course was in very good shape and well worth the money. Loved the variety of tee blocks. My wife played the forward tees, where I played the back tees. Basically 100+ yards on average difference, which was favourable for her. She is a 35 handicapper and I am a 7. Course played well for both of us. Would definitely return to this course.

An excellent course especially the back 9 that has a different feel to the front 9 and some challenging shots over water to really great greens. First time playing the course and would definitely recommend it and play it again. The only small niggle was there was a 5 ball playing ahead of us which slowed things a little...

Challenging course for a rusty player! Lots of water in my opinion and the balls could become lost in the vegetation if not carefully watched

I am a 25 year owner here at Orange Lake Resort. although the condition of the Lengends course is a little better than last year at this time; it is still a far cry from its plush,lush,and well manicured conditons of 5-6 years ago and back to its beginning. Not sure Arnold Palmer would approve. I hope that Orange Lake will soon take back control of all the golf on their property and restore them to their once sensational conditions when it was special to play the courses at the resort. have been going off property lately as their are better conditioned courses for less money. sad to say.

A resort style course that is well maintained and very keenly priced, greens & fairways were in excellent condition.

Challenging enough for the average golfer without being over daunting.

Will definitely return to play again the next time I visit Orlando

1st time playing this course,was impressed with the lay of various holes,water and bunkers came into play on most holes.very friendly staff,helpful and accommdoting.would recommend playing here when in the area.good value

I've been playing the courses at Orange Lake for 15 years and they get worse every year. Greens have clumps of weeds growing on them. Fairways are like playing off the road with bare spots. We got a good deal on Golf Now $25. Wouldn't pay more than that. I know they blame it on the summer they had but other courses are just fine. Spend more money on course maintainence and less on people getting paid to stand around. It's a shame because the layout is really nice.

Enjoyed the round. I was a single and played with nice people from Sweden. Pace was good played in about 4:20. There was some bear spots in the fairways and some patches of crab grass on the greens. However, the course was still enjoyable.

Course layout isn't bad. Greens were bumpy and slow. Tee boxes were a little sparse. Overall a very middle of the road golf course.

Beautiful course in great shape. Love the nature surrounding this course.
