Bloomingdale Golfers Club
About
Bloomingdale Golfers Club sits on 220 acres of natural terrain with 100-year-old oaks, natural marsh preserves teeming with wildlife, fields of flowers, and thirteen lakes. Here you'll find a true Golfers Club -- no pools, no tennis courts, just Florida Golf at its finest. Tree lined fairways, pampas grass, massive waste areas, deep grass bunkers and contoured greens tempt golfers to play a round. Golf Digest described Bloomingdale Golfers Club as having the best collection of par 5's on one golf course as they have seen. Bloomingdale, which has been ranked #9 in Florida by Golfweek Magazine, is dedicated to preserving the natural appeal of the land. Course residents include a bald eagle, several sandhill cranes, sixty species of semi-rare birds, and the ever-present raccoon...the course trademark.

Course conditions were great
First time playing the course. The course is challenging if you don’t keep your ball in the fairway. The course conditions are the best I have played in quite some time. I play a lot of courses in Pinellas county and most of the course are in terrible condition due to over play but I understand you have to make the bucks when you can. The T boxes and greens at this course have been Exceptionally maintained. The Bloomington greens crew could give lessons to other course on how to maintain a golf course.
Bloomingdales In good shape
We played early so our round went smoothly. 8am on a Saturday and finished in about 4hours. Course is in good shape greens look nice and roll good but not super fast. Most of the tee boxes and fairways are in great condition.. price was great for this time of year and layout is a challenge .great practice facilities. Overall a great course. I recommend to play early because they do get very busy and rounds run long but I never have any problem if I tee off before 8am.
Tight tricky holes
Having been my first time, placement on shots was critical. I believe second time might improve score.
Fun Course
Fun course for all levels of play. Fairways were in pretty good condition. You will enjoy this course.
Nice course for all
The course is in good condition. This course has both easy and challenging holes but overall it is a very enjoyable course for all players.
What a difference a STARTER makes
This time they invested in a starter and pace was normal 4:15 hours for 18 without much waiting except 10 mins behind schedule on #1 Last time it was 3:15 to get to #10 tee.
Do not know if last review was read but would come back again. We took a chance on returning and glad we did. Only negative was greens were slower than before.
Slow
This is a great course overall, but, they are always over booking. I’ve been 3 times now all different times of day and every time I have to wait at each and every hole. Par 3s are a nightmare. It took 3:15 to play 9 holes today.
Peak Season
Slow play like everywhere in the area this time of year. Able to get our round in with a 1:32 tee time some all good there. Fun course, had no issue other than pace, but staff was good….would play there again.
Good course, worth a try
First time here and arriving to the course I was not impressed. The parking lot is no frills but once entering the facility it is a nice layout. The staff and starter were very friendly and the course layout is nice. The course has some challenging holes and some water in play on most of them. .the greens were in good shape and rolled true, the fairways were green and playable.. The amount of wildlife, birds ,turtles was great. Love to see them on the course. Overall a nice place and I will be back.
What a way not to run a golf course
We arrived over 45 minutes before our tee time. and there were no carts. We spoke with the marshall and he said that he had no carts. We asked him what does out time look like as far as getting out on time as we had a 1:15 Tee Time. The 1:08 Tee Time group had been standing there for quite some time waiting for their carts. With tee times 7 to 8 minutes apart we said to him that we were next and he said yes. They were issued their carts and headed to the tee box and were waiting to tee off. A single lady drove up in her cart and followed them to the tee box. We asked him why is she going to the tee box when we were next. He said her group was one hour late getting there and he was sending them out next. THAT IS NOT THE WAY TO RUN A GOLF COURSE. If you are are an hour late for anywhere you do not get bumped to the head of the line in front of people who have waited for carts and were there on time for their tee time. THAT IS NOT THE WAY TO RUN A GOLF COURSE. His response was they paid their money what he completely ignored was THEY WERE AN HOUR LATE and that all of those who were playing were being penalized because of them. Theire were groups behind us most of which did not get to finish as darkness creeped in as we hit 18. It is for sure that 3 o4 4 more groups would have been able to finish had the starter did the RIGHT THING…ONE HOUR LATE THEN YOU WAIT……….This is not the first time I have experienced poor course management and overbookin b y Bloomingdale Golf Course management. The Rates on GOLF NOW and TEE OFF are GREAT the Management has a lot of work that needs to be done…..
Pace of play
Why does everyone comment about slow play and not the condition of the course? This time of year slow play is a given. Please don’t write a negative review of a course for slow play. I want to know what are the condition the fairways and greens. I really played this course a year ago. It was a good experience.
Pace of play
Have played many times, but the pace of play was extremely slow. Way over booked. Had two sets of time waiting at each hole. They started us on the back nine at 1:15. When we got the the 13th hole. A league came up and told us we shouldn't be there and we should just go to hole 16 so they could play. That did not sit well with the 12 players that were waiting to tee off. We paid our money and we were playing. Once we got to the front nine. It did move a little faster. It was 6:15 when we finished. Almost dark.
Playing on “league” day is a disaster
Second time trying to play on a day when the mens league is playing. Tee times are wide open, and yet as we approached our 4th hole we are greeted by a group of 6 informing us that their league is scheduled to begin on our hole at that time. That, on top of the fact that we were already on a slight backup, as the third group waiting to tee off. Here’s and idea…don’t book tee times if you have a league running on the course simultaneously! I’m addition, the pace of play is at a snails pace, and the league members are rude and could care less. Over 5 hours for 18 holes. Also, why close the bar/restaurant at 6pm? We frequently play on the afternoon, and it continues to be disappointing that we can’t even stop on for a cold drink after our round! Love the course, but our recent experience has been less that optimal.
Lots of waiting
Took me 5 hours to play 18 holes. Was waiting at the tee box for group ahead to tee off on nearly every hole. It was really too dark to play the last hole, but attempted it anyway and lost 2 otherwise very findable balls. Should not have to worry about beating the daylight when you tee off at 1:30.
