The stunning fourth. Tricky, strategic and exhilarating. Yet fatal on the left side. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Eight. Bold 3-par of 204. You’ll need a fine tee shot to keep the wolf at the door. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Eleven. Solid tee-to-green test. Hitting and putting this green are the keys. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Thirteen: Wedging into a green pared down to essentials: a frontal bunker, a narrowing surface, then a big backside falloff. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Sixteen. Dr. Hurdzan’s greens resemble those of Donald Ross: crafted, meticulous, well-contoured. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Eighteen. #2 index. Problems galore. As at all par-5’s here, playing the angles well may save you from disaster. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Pilgrim's Oak
This is my second time playing this course and it is well worth it. Greens/Fairways and Tee boxes were all in great conditions especially for fall time. Course is challenging and it has a great layout!
Super Fun Course
I play all over Chester and Montgomery county - Bella, Ravens, Turtle, Lederach, Broad Run. It’s almost like Pilgrim Oaks was built by taking what is great from those courses. Really cool elevation changes. Each hole is unique. Lovely par threes. Fairways were easy to hit. Serene ponds and creeks with cool rock formations. Loved the greens. Small with a lot of character.
Price is phenomenal. Not much of a clubhouse but I could care less about that. No bar but you can bring a cooler - bonus!
One of the best public courses in this part of PA
Very nice course at a good price (real value). Layout is varied and interesting - not too punishing. Greens are faster than most area courses yet fair.
Would love to play in a scramble or other tournament here. Love this course!
Beautiful course
The course is in beautiful condition. It was definitely worth the drive and the money. The warm up area was also excellent.
Great course layout
I love this layout. Tee shot distance control is key. Hitting driver off every par 4 gets me in distance problem with my second shot so using 3 wood and even irons is the better choice. Some tee boxes are in rough shape and hopefully they will attend to these over the winter. Pace of play wa good until the 12th hole then all of a sudden we were waiting on almost every shot. Need to have their ranger out fixing this slow play. Played the front in 90 minutes but the back took over 2.5 hours.
Nice course. We’ll definitely be going back again.
Very nice course. It was our first time at this course, but we’ll definitely go back again. The conditions of the course were better than expected after reading some of the recent reviews. Hole #8 was the closest I’ve been to a hole in one in quite a while.
Country club conditions
Immaculate condition. Worth the hour drive. Best value in 50 mile radius
Love this course
Beautiful course. Friendly staff. Challenging but fair. Only issue today was sandy greens but it's that time of year. Any other time of year the greens are in great shape.
NOT GOOD
We showed up to the course and it looked like it was in pretty decent shape. We where there for an hour and there was no sign of the starter. A couple of people went off and there was still no sign of him. Than when we went to the tee he came out of no where and asked for our slips. He started going over stuff that was just common sense. We had two kids in our group one is a scratch and another is a 14 handicap. He started going over how to fix a ball mark with us and how its cart path only on par 3 witch is common sense. He also said how pace of play is very strict and we where the only foursome so we have to keep up. And he would be driving around to make sure we went at the right pace. There was a twosome 2 groups ahead of us that held up the whole course but the starter didn’t push them. We showed up to the first green and it was all chewed up. There where dry spots and sometimes you had to putt over mud. The bunkers where not raked too. The fairways where to only thing that was in good shape. Do not recommend!!!!
Beautiful Rolling Hills...
Always a seasonal stop, Pilgrim's Oak is a beautiful course with rolling hills, plenty of slope, and undulating greens. Don't let the wide fairways fool you...you can get some tough bounces and end up in excessive rough, out of bounds, or penalty areas. I was pleasantly surprised by the course conditions--with all the recent hot weather, Pilgrim's Oak is in great shape. The fairways have a few brown spots, but for the most part has nice green grass. The greens are also holding up well, although they did some aeration on the fringe and edges of the greens; and they were running a little fast. I did see some pretty big rocks in some of the bunkers, and the tee boxes (as others have stated) need to be leveled a bit. We were a twosome on a Saturday morning wedged between a threesome and a foursome, but our pace of play was very good...no complaints. Another thumbs up for Pilgrim's Oak.
Good Course- Needs a little maintenace
I play this course often and enjoy it. However, course conditions are starting to slide a little bit compared to what it usually is like. Tee boxes defiantly need attention as many are unlevel. It's difficult to find a flat spot with grass. However, I will be back to this course. Great layout and would recommend to anyone.
Fun round
Course is in great shape. Greens, fairways especially. Tee boxes we a little worn. Nice easy course to greens from white tees. Could find ball on even wild shots. Greens had a lot of slope. Guaranteed 3 putt if on wrong side of hole. Pace of play was great. Would certainly recommend.
Challenging
Not a lot of obstacles, a few water holes but very hilly and if you don’t know the course can prove challenging! Overall nice layout.

This is an awesome Golf course and if you get the opportunity go! #13 in PA. Everything about the course is awesome, from the elevation changes to the scenery, except for one thing. there's a lot of teeing areas that are not level. Some of them are just mounded. But do not let that deter you. And it made bother some but definitely not me, it is BYOB. They do not have their liquor license. They do have plenty of water stations on the course. The greens are still rolling pretty quick but they are a little bumpy. Definitely not the courses fault because people don't fix their ball marks.
Stellar course conditions in a public course especially
I love this course!!!! It is gorgeous and the surrounding area is also very picturesque!!!!
I am dying to play a scramble here. Some of the normally soft and spongy areas from last year were not an issue st all. The greens are particularly special in consistency. Also, the fairways need more TLC from the players of the course because the course does everything it can to keep it in amazing shape!
There are always some tweaks to make including the tee box still needing to be more flat and level on top of 2 holes. It is a pleasure to play this course!!!!

Course is in fantastic shape. You must be some kind of golf snob.
