The stunning fourth. Tricky, strategic and exhilarating. Yet fatal on the left side. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Eight. Bold 3-par of 204. You’ll need a fine tee shot to keep the wolf at the door. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Eleven. Solid tee-to-green test. Hitting and putting this green are the keys. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Thirteen: Wedging into a green pared down to essentials: a frontal bunker, a narrowing surface, then a big backside falloff. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Sixteen. Dr. Hurdzan’s greens resemble those of Donald Ross: crafted, meticulous, well-contoured. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Eighteen. #2 index. Problems galore. As at all par-5’s here, playing the angles well may save you from disaster. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

A must play
Pilgrims Oak is one of the most beautiful courses I've played. I will be a forever customer. A must play course for the money.
Great layout
Tee boxes, fairways and greens were great. Need beer in the clubhouse or will loose a lot of business. Could use better maps of the holes.
tee boxes
Greens where phenomenal. Fairways had some rough spots. Tee boxes are not level and we all know what that can do to your tee shot.
Fun Course
For a spur of the moment decision on a round, Pilgrim's Oak was a decent course. The course itself was in much better shape than others I have played in South Central PA. Greens were well kept, the fairways recently mowed, although most of the fairways had clumps of mulched grass on them which left some interesting hazards.
As with many of the courses I've played in this area, the tee boxes left something to be desired. I can't find a flat tee box anywhere!
The staff was nice, but the food selections were less than ideal. No water on the course, but there were coolers every fourth or fifth hole with bottled water for $0.50. Overall, a pretty good experience.
This course in distinctive!
I have played this course twice now, both experiences have been exceptional. Prepare to be challenged! The greens are in great condition and are difficult if you aren't on the same level as the pin.
Beautiful course, difficult and fast greens
Great golf course great price beautiful scenery very difficult greens and very fast excellent course for the money
Another Nice Visit
I try to play this course at least once a year. The course was in very good shape and fun to play. Greens were firm and fast and as usual fair but difficult to read with undulations. It was a great time and I'll try to make it back one more time this year.

This course is always in good condition even when other get burned out in July. This makes the rough tougher. The rough feels like early spring thickness and you need to keep the ball in the fairway to post a low score.
Greens are amazing!!!!!
Greens are amazing as well as the fairways real quality golf course very characterized course.
Deserves more recognition
This is the second time I have played here and each has been awesome. The course is in fantastic shape. The greens are smooth, receptive, and quick, with some interesting places for pin locations. The fairways and tee boxes are very well manicured for the majority of the course. The layout is incredibly fun, challenging enough on some holes, but not overbearing. There are multiple relatively short par 5's that serve as great risk-reward holes. A definite must play for anyone within 50 miles.
Great Value!
Played this course on a recommendation of a coworker. Very pleasantly surprised great value for the price. Course was in amazing shape. Very tough greens, true, but tough. The other reviews weren't kidding about tough pin placement, undulating greens and runoffs. Definitely would play again!
Good value
Greens rolled true. Like the hilly terrain and landscape
Great round
I love this place! Nice layout with great conditions.
Course was in great shape, had a great time. The pin placements were brutal, whoever cut them has no heart. You can't miss them to either side or you end up in a collection area like Augusta. Nice variety of holes...it is an hour from me but I will be back!!
Worth a Play
Great layout. Challenging greens. Nice mix of holes challenge and reward solid golf. Scenic and relaxing. Great value.
Best public course I have ever played!
Tee off around 7:15 in the morning. First I have been to many courses where even in the middle of the day and there was no food ready to keep the pace of play moving. However when I arrived at the clubhouse at 7 am there were already pre wrapped sandwiches and hot dogs already to go. So A ++++ for staff being prepared. Next come the course, this was my first round at Pilgrams Oak. I was extremely impressed by the design and conditions of this course. Beautiful tee boxes, fairways were perfect and greens were tricky and fast. (If people would fix there ball marks it would make it nice). They have a decent practice facility better than most. I wish this course was closer to me as I would play a lot more. Ice chest on the course every couple holes with bottle water for $ .50 cents a bottle. WOW. I could go on and on about this place but let's just say if you have never played this course you are missing out on a rare gem. Never have I found such a treasure.
Great Time
Nice place. Not much food but there is 50 cent water throught. Good pace and pretty challenging.
Nice course - great value
I try to play here once a season, although it is an hour plus drive. Multiple sets of tees help you play based on your ability. Super Senior riding rate of $31 is a great deal. Lots of variety - all holes have unique designs. Try it, you'll like it! Oh, but it's a dry township - no beer only sodas:(
Top Public Course in Lancaster County
Pilgrims Oak is always in beautiful condition and is affordable. My buddy and I play here as a meeting point between Phlilly and Harrisburg. Usually not crowded but yesterday it got backed up on our second rd of the day. Favorite course in Lancaster!

The conditions were excellent, the rough was thick and the greens were difficult. The course was fun and had impressive elevation.
Good course
The staff were super friendly. The course was in good/great shape. Only negative was that the rough was so thick you would lose your ball, even in the first cut. Overall I would play the course again.
