The stunning fourth. Tricky, strategic and exhilarating. Yet fatal on the left side. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Eight. Bold 3-par of 204. You’ll need a fine tee shot to keep the wolf at the door. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Eleven. Solid tee-to-green test. Hitting and putting this green are the keys. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Thirteen: Wedging into a green pared down to essentials: a frontal bunker, a narrowing surface, then a big backside falloff. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 04/23/2021

Worth a Play
Great layout. Challenging greens. Nice mix of holes challenge and reward solid golf. Scenic and relaxing. Great value.
Best public course I have ever played!
Tee off around 7:15 in the morning. First I have been to many courses where even in the middle of the day and there was no food ready to keep the pace of play moving. However when I arrived at the clubhouse at 7 am there were already pre wrapped sandwiches and hot dogs already to go. So A ++++ for staff being prepared. Next come the course, this was my first round at Pilgrams Oak. I was extremely impressed by the design and conditions of this course. Beautiful tee boxes, fairways were perfect and greens were tricky and fast. (If people would fix there ball marks it would make it nice). They have a decent practice facility better than most. I wish this course was closer to me as I would play a lot more. Ice chest on the course every couple holes with bottle water for $ .50 cents a bottle. WOW. I could go on and on about this place but let's just say if you have never played this course you are missing out on a rare gem. Never have I found such a treasure.
Great Time
Nice place. Not much food but there is 50 cent water throught. Good pace and pretty challenging.
Nice course - great value
I try to play here once a season, although it is an hour plus drive. Multiple sets of tees help you play based on your ability. Super Senior riding rate of $31 is a great deal. Lots of variety - all holes have unique designs. Try it, you'll like it! Oh, but it's a dry township - no beer only sodas:(
Top Public Course in Lancaster County
Pilgrims Oak is always in beautiful condition and is affordable. My buddy and I play here as a meeting point between Phlilly and Harrisburg. Usually not crowded but yesterday it got backed up on our second rd of the day. Favorite course in Lancaster!
jersey golfer
The conditions were excellent, the rough was thick and the greens were difficult. The course was fun and had impressive elevation.
Good course
The staff were super friendly. The course was in good/great shape. Only negative was that the rough was so thick you would lose your ball, even in the first cut. Overall I would play the course again.
Can't go wrong!
First, let me say this course is ALWAYS in the best condition it can be. I've played this course more times than I can count and it always provides a challenge ( read that as # 3, 11, 12 ) # 12 is a nicely designed hole that can ruin your card, its scenic and requires a straight ball unless your a fader or lefty. From 1st appearences it looks harmless and wide open, but there are some big numbers lurking just about everywhere on that course, in season. Tee to green is always in immaculate shape and if they're not, its from careless golfers not the staff rest assured. In season these are some difficult greens that must be attacked from the short grass, they are fast and true if not a little on the small size. Fairways are fairly wide but, DO NOT GO INTO THE FESCUE, your ball WILL be lost. You will find balls, but it won't be yours! I honestly appreciate having a course reasonably close, priced and well attended. Oh, and they have a nice lil practice area with range, putting green and chipping, pitching green with a bunker. I guess you could do " better " but you will pay for it! Hope that helps! C'ya.
Saturday round
This place is such a great place to play and a amazing value for your dollar. If your looking for a challenge for all skill levels on the greens and a chance to creatively shape your way around a course this is it. Open fairways make it playable to all but you will be challenged most likely by wind and undulating quick greens. Don't miss out on the pulled chicken in the summer as you make your turn. Call me if you need a playing partner as I would play this course daily if I could.
Very nice course
I have played here many times and always enjoyed it. Very nice shape and fast greens. I will be back.
Hidden Gem
What a great day of golf! The staff was friendly. The course was in terrific shape. The course itself had character and many distinct holes. Not your typical back and forth golf. The greens were will kept and there were several challenging pin placements that made for some interesting putts!
Hidden Gem
This course is always in great shape and challenge to play especially with wind. Best value in eastern Lancaster Co.
Bring a friend or local !!!!!
Ive played this course probably 6 times before i decided to post this . Great course but until u play it once by yourself its tough alot of blind shots to sloped fairways . But greens and conditions r always good the par 3 12th is a treat ive hit a sw to a 5 iron on that hole. Only one birdie though :*( With two people its fun ........ play alone bring at least.a dozen +++
NICE TRACK
Wonderful track that was in great condition. I love the layout also, and I will repeat.
Great course!
Fairly challenging course, hills aplenty with lots of unseeable fairways. Greens are immaculate, fast and hilly. This was my second round here and I am ready to try it again!! Great hotdeal with golfnow.com!! $1 dollar a hole with cart!!
My favorite course so far this year. Well maintained, great scenery.
I have played this course several times and have enjoyed playing it each time. Super scenery and well maintained course. The course is located in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania in Amish country. Breathtaking!
Play this Course!!!!!!
Great Golf Course. From tee to green its in great shape. Staff was great in every way. Also the views are incredible.
Beautifull Course, Friendly Staff. A Must Play!
The course was in EXCELLENT condition. Fairways and Greens were Plush and full. Tee boxes were in great shape. Very scenic views , hands down One of THE BEST courses I've played.
Beautiful country!
Great golf course, lots of elevated greens, you need an excellent iron game to play well here. Staff super nice, good pro shop.
rolling terrain with lots of variety
Course was maintained well, greens were smooth and consistent. Had just punched fairways, but were working quickly to clean up. Rolling hills made for challenging shot selection.
